The first thing that comes to my mind when I think about the Aditya Birla Group is "idea". An " idea" that changed my fathers life today. Way back in 2010, even my father may not have thought that the very first sim card that he bought for a nominal cost of 2 rupees might help him a lot in exploring the present modern world, alongside helping him in his daily activities. ABG entered into my life with this "idea".
For a guy from small village it is not so easy to get habituated to the life in a metropolitan city. In those old days when internet is not that much into the life of people, It is very difficult for this guy to explore the places for his shopping. Then comes ABG to my rescue "More - Mega store( a part of ABG then)", A one stop shopping destination for me. The way how it simplified my shopping experience with a wide variety of products from word class brands will be remembered forever. When I entered into the corporate world, I had a regular attachment with brands like Peter England, Louis Philippe and Allen solly in my wardrobe. Initially the corporate world seems to be hectic for me and later when I got used to it, I didn't find any challenging task which involves large scale problem solving and business decision making. I feel the scope of my job is limited to a particular extent and I felt the need to pursue MBA for a wide range of career opportunities. Initially when I started preparing for cat it seems very difficult to concentrate on my studies alongside my job. When I feel myself low, I used to go through the experiences shared by MBA students in insideiim regarding their internship experiences from top conglomerates like ABG, Tata, Mahindra etc motivated me in achieving the admit from SJMSOM-IIT Bombay.
My journey to the B School is incomplete if I didn't mention about a brand from ABG which stood by me right from the start of my B school interviews and to the B school as well. It is " VanHeusen - The way forward. Evolve every day". A perfectly made suit which helped me in moving forward and also helped in evolving me as a professional student. It has travelled with me for 10 interviews in various cities. I'm pretty much sure that this will be with me in rest of my life and helps me in moving forward. Right from 2010 ABG is definitely a part of my life in some or the other way round helping me in advancing to new phases of my life. Hope this relationship continues with me and also with the 35 countries in which it is operating by impacting the people's life in a positive way.
