Part A: Why Aditya Birla group is big in my life?
My father is a businessman. Initially his business was of sand and chips (materials used in construction). After his business saw a substantial growth he wanted to come into cement business. As he was not a well-established businessman and also due to lack of funds he was not been able to get dealership of any well-known cement brands.
Then he came into contact with Ultra Tech cement an Aditya Birla Group company. They agreed to give him the dealership of Ultra Tech cement and also helped him in getting initial customers. He got a big kick-start to his business and also came into iron rod business. Now he is successfully in the construction material business and is the leading cement dealer in the koshi region.
Aditya Birla group has a great contribution in uplifting my family’s economic condition and we are able to get good life style and quality education with the help of Aditya Birla group.
Part B: How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far?
During my father (sole business owner) illness, my family faces financial problems due to which the business was also majorly affected. This challenge brought me to accept the opportunity to learn my own family business. I joined the business at very early age, understood from my father’s co-workers about the business. My main objective was to ensure that no existing customer loses faith in us. I tried to avoid delays in delivering pre-orders. I also made some new customers by making them understand the features of a particular products and convincing them that this is the best price offered to them. During that phase the profit was very marginal but I kept growing keeping patience. Now the business is back on track satisfying more customers.
