Aditya Birla Group has been one of the oldest and most successful group since the pre-Independence era. It has always had a glaring presence in the Indian minds. Right from the tiffin we used to take as a kid in the Freshwrapp to the daily utilities that we buy at More the presence has only increased as we have progressed in our lives. Without realizing it Aditya Birla Group has touched out lives and made it easier and better.
Growing up in Kolkata I still clearly remember the Pantaloons store being opened in Camac Street. With no malls then Pantaloons was and still is considered as one of the trending places to buy clothes. Buying clothes in Pantaloons always have me happiness and a sense of pleasure. The connection from then onwards only grew. Buying clothes with brand names like Allen Solly and VanHeusen always made me feel that I am wearing something premium and of great quality. These brands have grown and its recognition and brand value has only further increased thus keeping the feeling intact. I still remember the day that I went shopping with my father and bought my first blazer from Louis Philippe. The memories are still etched clearly in my mind and I remember the day as if it was yesterday.
Aditya Birla Group has always been around from the sim card inside my phone in the form of Vodafone Idea, in the aluminum foil that the mothers in India pack lunches in to the clothes we wear, to the cement in the building we live in, to the farms that feed us food. Aditya Birla Group has and will always be an integral part of life.
Life has always been a journey on a sine curve i.e. full of ups and downs. The motivation to never give up has been what keeps me going and trying to strive for something bigger and better. There will always be challenges that life throws at you, but you need to pick yourself up and say that today is not the day I fail.
During my working days at ZS Associates I was Initially not very comfortable in speaking and communicating my ideas. Multiple repetitions and help from others were required to clearly explain my ideas and what was the message that I was trying to say. Since my problem was not a language barrier the idea of practicing English was not very useful for me. The problem was much deeper where I could not properly structure my ideas before presenting it to others. To overcome this, I started to practice with my immediate seniors and try to present my vision to them since they had context of the situation they could easily understand my Ideas and helped me better frame my sentences. I started practicing and preparing for the meeting with the onshore. I started to make presentations and excel sheets to clearly portray my ideas. Soon enough I was declared fit to lead client calls and I became a SPOC for my client. The time required for preparation decreased and in the end stages of my stint at ZS I did not have to use presentations and excel sheets for communicating my ideas.
