a) There are companies, which provide us with goods and essential products, and then there are companies, which even become a part of our lives and witness our life experiences with us. It’s difficult to pen down how Aditya Birla Group has continuously affected my life in every good way possible. When I opened my eyes to this world, ABG welcomed me and introduced me to its construction, the place I call my home. “The engineer’s choice” has been my parents' choice too. All the memories of my childhood are associated with that house. I thank ABG for nurturing me since then. Throughout school life, my mother’s love kept reaching me, through those delicacies wrapped in the Hindalcos Aluminium foil. Our relationship has been very long and is still going strong. While leaving home for 4 years, for pursuing higher studies, Aditya Birla group came along the train journey with me, so that I don’t feel homesick and introduced me to the new life I have ahead. Birla Copper Limited gave me the confidence to keep dreaming big on my journey to a new place and surrounding. Every girl loves shopping, and I am unapologetic about not waiting for an occasion to shop my heart out. Be it a birthday party, or a wedding at home, ABFRL has made me look my best through its unmatchable apparel. Allen Solly’s formal attire is my lucky interview dress, which has helped me look presentable and crack every selection round with ease. I have been able to portray my confident self wearing them. ABFRL has been my one-stop shopping destination for years now. ABG has helped me communicate the happiest news of my life to my family sitting far away in another city, through the smartphone’s cover glass made by Hindalco Limited. ABG has connected so deeply and closely with my life unknowingly, that, it feels like a void when ABG is not involved.

b) I would start with Oprah Winfrey’s classic quote, “Turn your wounds into wisdom”, to recall and describe the challenge I faced and overcame, with patience, self-confidence and persistence. The year 2012 was a crucial year in my life, as I was gearing up to write my class 12th board examinations. But life had some other plans for me, as my father met with an accident while driving back to home. This accident led to my father being hospitalized for a long duration and bed rest for 2 months. This was a tough time for me and my family. Though, my father even then stood as my pillar of support and encouraged me to not get distracted during my exams. His words instilled confidence in me to work even harder. I was able to outperform my own expectations and scored 92% in my boards. I didn’t stop here. During my father’s recovery period, I attended to my father’s business and tried to take some burden off his shoulders. This was a difficult situation in life, but, nevertheless, it was an enriching experience too and this is how I was introduced to the world of business at an early age.

Going forward, managing work and studies simultaneously is not an easy task. I was working with Deloitte Consulting, while I was preparing for my MBA entrance examination. This time taught me efficient time management skills and utilize every minute to the fullest. After going through the rigorous schedule over a few months, my hard work finally bore fruits and I made it to the prestigious Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi for my MBA program.

These incidents have made me a stronger person and transformed me into someone who relishes challenges. Now, I look forward to challenges as I am confident that nothing can stop a person, who has overcome the fear to fail.
