While Avengers are fighting against Thanos, there is one more fight against him in an alternate reality without Avengers. However, his objective is different this time. Thanos has been on the mission to eradicate all business corporations. He thinks that the world was a better place before industrialization. Thanos is at Vormir. He is now ready to take the last stone, Soul Stone. Red Skull has already explained to him that he has to sacrifice someone he loves in order to gain the Stone. A soul for a soul…

Gamora: (laughs scornfully) “The Universe has judged you. You asked for a prize and it said no. Because you don’t love anybody.”

*Thanos turns around. Tears rolling down his face”

Gamora: “Tears, Really?”

Red Skull: “They are not for him”

*Gamora is shocked*

Thanos: (crying) “I ignored my destiny once, I cannot do that again. Even for you.”

*Gamora tries to kill herself but she couldn’t*

Thanos: “I’m sorry little one. Do you have any last wish?”

*Gamora knows she can’t out-muscle Thanos but she can outwit him. She thinks about the basic necessities, her favorite brands, and internet*

Gamora: “I do not want you to remove one organization from this world.“

Thanos: “What is it?”

Gamora: “Aditya Birla Group”

That’s how Gamora helped mankind. One group which has kept us alive by giving us : Roti (More), Kapda (Peter England, VanHeusen), Makaan (UltraTech cement) and Internet (Idea-Vodafone). ABG is transforming society, giving us better ways to live. This fictional excerpt shows how important ABG is in my life!

There’s Thanos in everyone’s life. Thanos can be in the form of people or circumstances and you need to outwit those. Your actions in those situations define your journey. Reflecting on my journey, I realize that I have an incredibly high number of failures for a 24-year old aspiring entrepreneur. The first time I tried to solve a problem was due to the sheer frustration caused by lack of good academic material for engineering entrance exams. Post taking my naive solution to a market, I learned that for any business to be successful, maturity and planning are necessary. So I waited.

A wave of digitalization hit several domains in India around 2015. The education sector, however, had thus far gone unnoticed. In the final year of engineering, my friends and I created Yes Ma’am, a social network for teachers, parents and students. 3 paying clients within 3 months got us incubated at Zone Startups India. We acquired 2 more paying clients in the next 2 months before the effects of a false start began to manifest. We had to shut shop after a year of operation and a turnover of 3 lacs. I realized only technical skills do not make a good venture – understanding the market and the problem is equally critical.

Such stints of ‘failure’ have taught me important lessons about the entrepreneurial journey as well as about myself. I realised that, in addition to technology, I need to gain several other critical entrepreneurial skills such as raising the necessary capital, handling competitive threats, hiring resources, selling products and making decisions with limited data. A holistic approach of experiential learning, case studies, coordinated projects with peers, and interactions with students from diverse professional backgrounds adopted in an MBA course makes it a perfect launching pad to acquire the necessary skillset. I decided to get an MBA after getting enough industry experience. I believe that I am on the right track as I received an admission offer from SJMSOM this year. #SJMSOM #IITBombay #ABGLPWooMe
