Show me the heroes that the youth of your country look up to, and I will tell you the future of your country.
It’s one of the strongest quotes I have ever heard and for my heroes have been a lot of industrialists who understood that India can never attain true freedom without being financially independent. Mr Ghanshyam Das Birla played a pivotal role in India’s independence, he was not only a close confidant of Mahatma Gandhi, but also set up a lot of core industries to help India with financial independence.
Aditya Birla Group today is a multinational conglomerate operating in 35 countries and has a vast product range. As a person living in India it’s almost impossible to live without using one or the other product of Aditya Birla. I have been using a lot of product by Aditya Birla Group since childhood without even realizing it, Idea cellular has been a very important part of my life, your first crush when you want to talk to all night long, and it was idea which made it possible for me. There is hardly any kid who hasn’t used fresh wrap to carry lunch to school and the thought of lunch wrapped in fresh wrap foils takes you back to your school days and is associated to those sweet memories. Anywhere you look you see bridges, buildings, homes more than half of those structures are standing there using cement and steel produced by Aditya Birla Group. Life insurance, clothes and fashion to buying fruits and vegetables I have been using so many things by ABG. ABG is like a trusted friend you know would be there whenever you need anything and you could trust on him.
The conclusion is foregone, but honor demands we fight
One of the biggest challenges I faced was during my graduation, I was super engrossed in e-sports, especially Dota2, without even realizing I had started prioritizing gaming over everything else in life, my grades started suffering, I stopped playing football, and was barely able to keep up with attendance requirement in class. I was in a position where I was just next to being addicted to gaming, and in the back of my mind I had a stupid notion, that I can pursue a career in e-sports just by giving it more and more time. It is so much harder to understand that you are addicted to something without someone else pointing it out and at a point where there was not much awareness to addiction towards gaming it was even harder for me. The biggest challenge was to realize that I am addicted to it and then working towards recovery. I was able to somehow get a job in a reputed consulting firm after my graduation and started putting more and more hours at work to make sure I don’t have much time to spend on gaming. It took some time and I was able to get rid of my addiction, but I still had price to pay for it. After almost 2.5 years of working in IT I decided to go switch my role to management and decided to pursue MBA. Even after preparing sincerely for CAT and securing a well above 99 percentile, I wasn’t even able to get an interview call from any of top 5-6 MBA colleges, while students were getting admissions in top 3 with similar scores. I didn’t give up and decided to sit for CAT again and was able to get into MDI. This incident taught me how easy it is to get distracted by something and lose track of important goal in life, and how hard it can make your life in the future; but it also gave me self confidence that I would be able to get through any adversaries by sheer amount of hard work and dedication, because I know it won’t be as hard as quitting gaming.
