Well, where do I start? Aditya Birla Group has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. From buying groceries from More to being a loyal customer of Vodafone to feeding my inner fashionista from Forever21, Aditya Birla Group has always been there.
But how is Aditya Birla Group big in my life? Let’s start from the beginning, shall we? So, I came into existence a little more than 23 years ago and have been constantly evolving, learning, growing since then, which essentially means that I have consumed and experienced a lot of services and products. The two areas where Aditya Birla Group has played a major role in my life has been personal style and telecom service. Still remember the day I got my first mobile phone when I had no two views about which mobile network I wanted as I was completely influenced and mesmerized by Vodafone Zoo Zoo. They always made me feel so happy and lively and as a result I would never ever miss a chance to watch them. I have been a loyal customer of Vodafone for 7 years and I couldn’t have asked for a better network.
Let us all agree on one thing that keeping up with latest fashion, latest trends is not an easy task. But you’ve got to maintain your personal style. This is when Aditya Birla Group comes to our rescue (yet again!). The range of brands that Aditya Birla Group has to offer is excellent. Want something formal - you have Louis Philippe, fashionable – Forever 21, power dressing – Van Heusen, luxury – Ted Baker and the list goes on.
Aditya Birla Group has always been ‘Big In Our Lives’.
How did I overcome challenges to achieve my ambitions in life?
One of the biggest challenges in my life has been public speaking. I never used to participate in debates, extempore competitions because I was never confident. My class participation was almost always zero because I was too scared to answer in front my peers. What if I’ve got the wrong answer? What if I fumble while answering? And the list was very long. As I grew older, I realised that this can’t be my life. I can’t let go of the opportunities that came in my way just because I was afraid of something. Something which can be overcome, something on which I can work on and something which is going to play a crucial role in my coming years.
It was 2009 I discretely remember when I took the plunge and participated in first intra-school debate competiton. To be honest, it wasn’t the best performance, I was extremely nervous, made a lot of mistakes, fumbled, stammered, couldn’t counter my opponent’s points, went blank multiple times BUT I did it. It took a lot of courage but I was happy that I was no longer holding myself. And since then there has been no looking back. I still make mistakes, I still get nervous but atleast I take the chance. I know I am still not there but I am learning every single day.
