A fresher in social science from TISS, fearless and carefree guy. His punch line is “Farak kya hai”, since he is not that good in Hindi, it roughly translates to “What’s the point”. He is a true “Rancho” from 3 idiots who is here for learning rather than good grades and a job. He follows the mantra of following your heart and you will excel in whatever you do. He doesn’t drink or smoke but he is the first member to come to a party and enjoys in his own way and thus we call him “Party Animal”. One of the best things about him is that he has clarity in his thoughts and puts his point strongly. This is one thing that I would like to learn from him.
INDRANIL SAHA
I have done my engineering from Kolkata and thus have an experience of working with laborious Bengali students. After three years of my college life, I met a bong who reminded me of old days. Very sincere and hardworking guy, who is a big people pleaser, always polite and with a big smile on his face. Fortunately, or unfortunately, I was the class representative of my section and this guy had given me a hard time during exam paper display, first one to come and last one to leave and made me wait for him to finish and even after having good marks he used to look for extra marks. One of many students who do DCP (desperate class participation) for extra marks and makes good notes (which we borrow later). Serial competition winner of our batch who had more CV points than anyone (In my opinion). I would like to partner with him in some competition to get some CV points.
ROHAN DAFTARY
He is one of my good friends and a true placecommer. A happy go lucky guy and it’s fun to hang out with him. He keeps his job (as a placecommer) and friendship separate which means you can’t get any secrets(placements) out of him. People know him as a serious guy but as a friend, we have the privilege to see his crazy side. He can be as crazy as he is serious when it comes to placements and academics. He is a born manager because he looks like one and also you can’t argue with him. A PJ (poor joke) master which is a part of his arguments and discussions and this will make you bang your head. One thing I would like to learn from his is the way he carries himself professionally and makes it look so effortless.
ARITRA CHAKRABARTY
One of our gang members and everyone’s favourite. A walking directory who has information about everyone on the campus and I think this talent comes with age as he is oldest in our group. A brilliant singer which makes him popular among girls. He has a great networking skill and can talk to anyone. He is my partner in crime because he has certain skills which I don’t. He believes in smart work rather than hard work. He can stay up the whole night and can still attend early morning classes. Few things I would like to learn from him will be how to make friends and skill of staying up the whole night.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
I would like to work at Aditya Birla Finance Limited because it is one of the well diversified financial services in our country. Since I had a small stint of three months working at an NBFC, I would like to work in the same field in future as well as I enjoyed working there. ABFL caters to a diverse set of customers which includes micro, SME and other small and large business and these are the backbone of our economy, so being part of such group will be a privilege for me. In terms of learning, I think I would be able to learn a lot from different departments at ABFL such as finance, data analytics, and marketing to name a few.
