What amazed the CAT test takers and the MBA community was that a 204/204 perfect score by an IMS faculty member turned out to be a forged act by the teacher. Sayandip Chaudhary, a teacher in IMS, claimed that he had scored a perfect 100% in
CAT 2024. Many were shocked by the historic feat, while test-takers in his slot were worried about the scaling process. It turns out he had created a fake response sheet, forged his answers, and submitted it to the coaching.
IMS now (following the Decision Making ethics we are learning about!), has issued a clarification statement about the same when he failed to provide the CAT 2024 scorecard. They have retracted the claims they have made for the bingo score and suspended the teacher's employment.
IMS faculty CAT Perfect Score:
As a CAT test taker do you think it's humanly possible to achieve this feat of a perfect CAT score? There have been multiple instances where the coaching institute's faculty members have scored 100 percentile consecutively but never a 100% score. We appreciate IMS's effort in not encouraging fake claims and being true to the MBA aspirants. What's your take on the incident? Why did the teacher indulge in such an act?
