The Verdict

FMS Delhi has only recently come out with revised selection criteria, including Class 10th and 12th marks in the selection criteria for the Class of 2019. The process has not changed since then. The major emphasis still lays on the CAT score, and the cut-offs for FMS Delhi are quite high (in excess of 99+ percentile). FMS Delhi also favours a good performance in the Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension section of CAT, with 40% of the weight for the initial composite score for the VA-RC section. However, just a good CAT performance will not be enough to get a call from FMS. A candidate must have a stellar performance in the GD-PI round as well, and this will be very crucial to the final admission offer. Since the addition of the 3% extra marks for female candidates, FMS Delhi has seen a huge increase (110%) in the number of female candidates in the MBA batch. Read more about this in the InsideIIM Gender Diversity Report 2018. Overall, a candidate with a good performance in DI-LR and QA, and an excellent performance in VA-RC, paired with stellar academic scores and good oratory skills is an ideal candidate for the Faculty of Management Studies.
