Amidst the lockdown and looming uncertainty over a lot of careers, today we share with you an inspiring story of a boy who used to deliver newspapers door to door and had one dream in his eyes; to wear a suit and become a manager.
Rakesh Kunbi, a 29-year-old from Mumbai, had no option but to look for a job at an early stage of his life. To support his education further, he took up delivering newspapers in the mornings and continued with his education. When it came to providing education for his siblings, he thought of taking another plunge. This time to a call center.
Managing college and working at the same time was difficult, but he managed with the help of people in the office and his strong will power to achieve his goals. Working in a call center and further working for TCS was not an easy task for him due to his lack of communication skills. But, in the years that he worked in multiple organizations, he picked up this skill. He worked on his language and interpersonal skills and once his siblings were settled with their higher education, he decided to take the plunge that he always wanted to.
Rakesh took CAT and cracked IIM Rohtak to pursue his MBA and with that, he earned that suit that he always dreamt of.
