You will be shocked that Stanford Graduate School of Business does not make it to the FT Global MBA Ranking 2025. Yes, you read it right. One of the best MBA programs in the world could not meet the eligibility criteria of FT rankings.   1. Wharton has been at the top for the 13th time in FT rankings.
  2. ESADE, Spain, is the new entry in the top 10 with the biggest jump of 9 places. European business schools have performed better than their US counterparts. HEC, Paris, is also featured in the Top 10.
  3. Apart from Stanford's absence from the list, Oxford’s management program has also slipped to 13th place (its lowest ranking ever). The primary reason is last year’s placements.

How did the Indian B-Schools Perform at FT 2025 Ranking?
  1. This year saw the most Indian management programs making it in the top 100 of FT rankings. ISB, like last year, is the top-ranked Indian B-School. It has jumped four places to be at 27th globally. 
  2. It is closely followed by IIM Ahmedabad at 31st rank. Only one IIM makes it in the top 50 list.
  3. While all other B Schools have seen an improvement in the list, IIM-B has slipped down by 10 places.
  4. A total of 8 Indian B-Schools rank at FT MBA 2025, including IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Indore, IIM Lucknow, XLRI, and IIM Kozhikode.

In conclusion, while FT rankings are great with a diverse set of weightage criteria and active involvement of Alumni, we see a large displacement in the ranking reports while the results and the quality of the MBA program itself do not change that dramatically year on year in actual.
