IIM-Kashipur has its selection criteria under the CAP—Common Admission Process 2025. The MBA admission process at IIM Kashipur has two stages. In Stage 1, all eligible candidates who took the CAT 2024 and applied to IIM Kashipur are considered. In Stage 2, shortlisted candidates from Stage 1 move forward. The shortlisting ensures sufficient representation from different categories per government reservation guidelines. Stage 3: Generation of Final Admission Offer List - Grand Total PI Total Stage (2a): This represents the total score obtained by a student in the Personal Interview (PI) round.  Shortlist Total Stage (2b): This represents the total score obtained by a student in the earlier "Shortlist" stage. This stage involves factors like academic performance, entrance exam scores, or other relevant criteria.  Grand Total (c) = PI Total Stage (2a) + Shortlist Total Stage (2b). The Grand Total will be later used to rank students based on their merit. IIM Kashipur Admission Criteria 2025-27: Calculation of Components 
  1. Below 50%: 0 points
  2. 50-60%: 1 point
  3. 60-70%: 2 points
  4. 70-75%: 3 points
  5. 75-80%: 4 points
  6. Above 80%: 5 points

  1. Academic Diversity (4%): If your undergraduate degree is from a non-engineering field, you get 4 points. Check the academic discipline listed in Table 4.
  2. Gender Diversity (6%): Female and transgender candidates receive 6 points.
  3. Work Experience (12%): Points are assigned based on full-time, paid experience:
 The final score is calculated by combining all components, including your CAT score, academic performance, work experience, and diversity factors. Q.1 What are the factors other than the CAT score considered for the MBA final admission offer at IIM Kashipur?

Ans: In addition to the CAT score, the final selection also depends on your Interview (PI) performance, past academic results, and work experience. Extra points are given to students from non-engineering backgrounds (academic diversity) and to promote gender diversity. These factors ensure a fair and balanced selection process. Q. 2. Does IIM Kashipur accept any other exam other than CAT for admission into MBA Analytics? Ans: Yes, IIM Kashipur accepts GMAT scores for admission to its MBA Analytics program. However, your GMAT exam must have been taken on or after May 1, 2022, to be eligible. Any scores from before this date will not be considered valid for the admission process. Q. 3. What is the fee for IIM Kashipur? Ans: The total fee for the MBA program at IIM Kashipur is INR 17,30,000 for the 2-year course. This amount covers the academic tuition and other related expenses but does not include hostel or accommodation charges. Students will need to pay separately for their stay and other personal expenses during the program. Q. 4 What are the reservation criteria for admission at IIM Kashipur? Ans: IIM Kashipur follows the reservation policy as per the norms of the Government of India. 27% of seats are reserved for NC-OBC, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, 10% for EWS, and 5% for PwD candidates.
