IIM Kashipur Admission/Selection Criteria 2025-27: Application Process

- The criteria ensure eligibility for shortlisting but don't guarantee selection. Cut-offs may be relaxed to ensure enough candidates for the PI process, though IIMs can set higher cut-offs if needed.
- Stage 2a: Personal Interview (PI)
- The Personal Interview (PI) process assigns weights to different evaluation components. These weights, which play a crucial role in determining candidates' final scores, are detailed in Table 2 below.

- The shortlisting process for IIM Kashipur happens through the Common Admission Process (CAP), where one of the newer IIMs conducts the PI round for nine participating IIMs.
- If you selected IIM Kashipur as a preferred choice in your CAT 2024 application, you’ll be able to fill out the IIM CAP 2025 form once it is released. Shortlisting will be based on your CAT 2024 results.

Stage 3: Generation of Final Admission Offer List - Grand Total PI Total Stage (2a): This represents the total score obtained by a student in the Personal Interview (PI) round.
Shortlist Total Stage (2b): This represents the total score obtained by a student in the earlier "Shortlist" stage. This stage involves factors like academic performance, entrance exam scores, or other relevant criteria.
Grand Total (c) = PI Total Stage (2a) + Shortlist Total Stage (2b). The Grand Total will be later used to rank students based on their merit.
IIM Kashipur Admission Criteria 2025-27: Calculation of Components
- CAT Score (33%): Your CAT score is compared to the highest CAT score, and the percentage is multiplied by 33. (Example: If your CAT score is 110 and the highest is 150, your score will be (110/150) × 33.)
- Class 10 Marks (5%): Your percentage in Class 10 is divided by 100 and multiplied by (Example: If you scored 85%, your score will be (85/100) × 5 = 4.25.)
- Class 12 Marks (5%): The same method as Class 10 marks—your percentage is scaled
- Graduation Marks (5%): Based on your graduation percentage, you earn points:
- Below 50%: 0 points
- 50-60%: 1 point
- 60-70%: 2 points
- 70-75%: 3 points
- 75-80%: 4 points
- Above 80%: 5 points

- Professional Qualification (5%): If you have certifications like CA, CS, or ICWA, you get 5 points; otherwise, 0
- Academic Diversity (4%): If your undergraduate degree is from a non-engineering field, you get 4 points. Check the academic discipline listed in Table 4.
- Gender Diversity (6%): Female and transgender candidates receive 6 points.
- Work Experience (12%): Points are assigned based on full-time, paid experience:
- Less than 6 months: 0 points
- 6-12 months: 2 points
- 12-18 months: 6 points
- 18-30 months: 12 points
- 30-36 months: 4 points
- More than 36 months: 0 points
The final score is calculated by combining all components, including your CAT score, academic performance, work experience, and diversity factors. Each component has a specific weight, and the total score determines your ranking for admission.
