IIM Rohtak's 2021 admission criteria have been released, and this year's selection criteria is relatively straightforward. In a huge relief to CAT aspirants, IIM Rohtak
will not be considering candidates' academic profiles or work experience - applicants will simply be evaluated based on their CAT performance, PI performance, and diversity. But before even being considered for the admissions process, candidates have to meet the overall CAT 2021 cut-off set by IIM Rohtak, which stands at the 95th percentile. Here's a detailed breakdown of IIM Rohtak's 2021 admission policy.
IIM Rohtak 2021 Admission Criteria - 3 Key Points To Remember
- For the general category, IIM Rohtak has set the minimum CAT 2021 cut-off at the 95th percentile. No minimum sectional cut-offs have been mentioned in the admission policy document.

Please note - to appear for IIM Rohtak's admissions process, candidates need to register on the institute's official website.
Understanding IIM Rohtak's 2021 Admission Criteria In Two Simple Steps
IIM Rohtak's 2021 admission policy is fairly straightforward - first, candidates are shortlisted for the online PI round based on nothing but their overall CAT 2021 scores. Then, candidates will be shortlisted for admission based on their online PI performance, diversity, and CAT 2021 scores. Here's a more detailed breakdown of the process.
Step 1 - Shortlisting candidates for the online PI round
First, IIM Rohtak will screen candidates based on the institute's minimum overall CAT 2021 cut-off, as per the table below. These candidates are then
eligible for shortlisting, but it must be noted that simply meeting the cut-off is not a guarantee of being shortlisted for the online PI round.

Step 2 - Creating final shortlist for admission
After candidates have undergone the online PI process, IIM Rohtak will create a weighted composite score to create a merit list. In this process, IIM Rohtak will consider a candidate's online PI performance, diversity, and CAT 2021 score for evaluation and consequent selection.

What Does IIM Rohtak's 2021 Admission Criteria Mean For You?
It's safe to say that IIM Rohtak lays
heavy emphasis on candidates' CAT 2021 scores, and has set a high cut-off - 95th percentile - for the general category to ensure only the top CAT performers have a shot at an IIM Rohtak seat. Thankfully, however, there are no sectional cut-offs mentioned, which removes the threat of being rejected for not meeting a cut-off for any of the three sections.
When it comes to the final merit list, about 80% of the admission criteria is in your hands - 60% for CAT 2021 scores, and 20% for online PI performance. Female candidates and those from a non-engineering background have a tremendous advantage in IIM Rohtak's selection process. In fact, with similar criteria for selection in 2020, IIM Rohtak's PGP batch comprised 69% women!
To the delight of those with a below-par academic profile, IIM Rohtak will not evaluate you based on your 10th, 12th or graduation performance. The admissions process is also a level playing field for freshers and experienced professionals.
