IIM Udaipur's latest admission criteria are out! In 2022, IIM-U has set the CAT 2022 min. cut-off at 92 percentile, and the sectional cut-offs at 70 percentile for all three sections. While creating the final merit list, IIM Udaipur has assigned a 60% weight CAT scores and 15% weight to a candidate's PI performance. Here is a detailed breakdown of IIM Udaipur's 2022 admission criteria.

Understanding IIM Udaipur's PGP Admission Process In 2022-2023

IM Udaipur's 2022 admission process can be broken down into two simple steps: in the first phase, candidates will be screened on the basis of their CAT 2022 performance, and selection will be subject to them meeting the minimum overall and sectional cut-offs. Then, based on IIM Udaipur's requirements, candidates will be shortlisted for the PI round. In the second phase, candidates will be shortlisted for admission based on a weighted composite score that will evaluate CAT performance, overall profile, and personal interview performance. Here is a breakdown of the entire admissions process.
Step 1 - Shortlisting candidates for PI based on CAT 2022 cut-offs
In the first step, candidates will be shortlisted based on the minimum CAT 2022 cut-offs set by IIM Udaipur as mentioned in the table below. Please note that simply meeting the minimum cut-offs is not a guarantee of being shortlisted for the personal interview round.
Category QA DILR VARC Overall
General 70 70 70 92
EWS 40 40 40 70
NC-OBC 45 45 45 74
SC 35 35 35 54
ST 32.5 25 25 40
DAP 32.5 25 25 40
"IIM Udaipur’s Admission Committee will decide the MBA program requirements for the Institute and the final number of candidates who would be called for the PA process on the basis of criteria prepared for each category. However, if the actual number of short-listed candidates is found to be less (or more) than the required number of candidates to be called for PI category-wise, then the overall as well as section-wise minimum score, would be reduced (or increased) to get the desired number of candidates."

Step 2 - Creating weighted composite score based on evaluation criteria
Once the PI process has finished, IIM Udaipur will calculate a weighted composite score which it will then use to create a merit list for admission to the MBA program. This year, IIM Udaipur has assigned 60% weight to CAT 2022 scores, 15% weight to PI performance, 9% weight for work experience, 9% weight for academic profile, and 7% weight for diversity.
Component Weight
CAT 2022 Score 60%
Personal Interview 15%
10th 2%
12th 2%
CA/CS/ICWA 1%
Graduation 4%
Work Experience 9%
Academic Diversity 2%
Gender Diversity 5%
Please note - Candidates who do not obtain certain minimum scores in the PI will not be considered for the merit list. The minimum scores will be decided by IIM Udaipur.
The following would be the basis for scoring candidates in respect of their academic profiles with or up to under graduation:
Range Of Marks X XII Under Graduation
<= 60 0.2 0.2 0.4
60.01 to 64 0.4 0.4 0.8

88.01 to 92 1.8 1.8 3.6
