The 2022 IIM Udaipur placements report is now out! This year, IIM Udaipur has witnessed a massive 33 percent jump in the average salary offered, and a 25 percent jump in the median salary offered. Consulting was the most sought-after role, followed by General Management. Top brands on campus included the likes of the Mahindra Group, Accenture Strategy, Goldman Sachs, JPMC, Amazon, Flipkart, EY, PwC, KPMG and others. IIM Udaipur Placements 2022 - 8 Key Highlights From the Placement Report
- The highest salary offered stood at INR 35.47 lakhs, up from INR 34.97 lakhs last year
- The average salary offered increased by a significant 33 percent, going from INR 13.19 lakhs to INR 17.50 lakhs
- The median salary offered increased by 25 percent, going from INR 12.50 lakhs to INR 15.60 lakhs
- The top three most sought-after functions for IIM Udaipur's MBA batch were Consulting, Sales and Marketing, and General Management
- The top three most sought-after sectors were BFSI, IT, and Consulting
- 14 percent of the batch received pre-placement offers (PPOs)/pre-placement interviews (PPIs) from recruiters
- Top brands on campus included American Express, Goldman Sachs, Accenture Strategy, EY, Amazon, Flipkart, Asian Paints, IBM, Vedanta, and JP Morgan amongst many others
- New recruiters on campus included top companies like the Mahindra Group, PwC, Reliance Retail, Zycus, Schindler, Elastic Run, and Tiger Analytics amongst many others
IIM Udaipur Placements 2022 - Consulting, General Management Emerge As Two Most Sought-After Functions
In 2022, generalist roles emerged as the most sought-after for IIM Udaipur's graduating MBA batch of 2022, with Consulting and General Management emerging as the two most sought-after functions. This year, there was also a year-on-year rise in the demand for Sales and Marketing roles, with 17 percent of the batch opting for a role in this business function. The least preferred domains included Product Management and Human Resource Management.
Sector wise, BFSI came out on top, with 29 percent of IIM Udaipur's batch heading into this sector, closely followed by the IT sector at 23 percent. This year, 1 in 5 IIM U students opted for roles in the Consulting sector. The least preferred sectors included Education and Logistics.
