Understanding IIM Udaipur's Selection Criteria 2021 In Two Steps
IIM Udaipur's 2021 admission process can be broken down into two simple steps: in the first phase, candidates will be screened on the basis of their CAT 2021 performance, and selection will be subject to them meeting the minimum overall and sectional cut-offs. Then, based on IIM Udaipur's requirements, candidates will be shortlisted for the PI round. In the second phase, candidates will be shortlisted for admission based on a weighted composite score that will evaluate CAT performance, overall profile, and personal interview performance. Here is a breakdown of the entire admissions process.
Step 1 - Shortlisting candidates for PI based on CAT 2021 cut-offs
In the first step, candidates will be shortlisted based on the minimum CAT 2021 cut-offs set by IIM Udaipur as mentioned in the table below.
Please note that simply meeting the minimum cut-offs is not a guarantee of being shortlisted for the personal interview round.

"IIM Udaipur’s Admission Committee will decide the MBA program requirements for the Institute and the final number of candidates who would be called for the PA process on the basis of criteria prepared for each category. However, if the actual number of short-listed candidates is found to be less (or more) than the required number of candidates to be called for PI category-wise, then the overall as well as section-wise minimum score, would be reduced (or increased) to get the desired number of candidates."
Step 2 - Creating weighted composite score based on evaluation criteria
Once the PI process has finished, IIM Udaipur will calculate a weighted composite score which it will then use to create a merit list for admission to the MBA program. This year, IIM Udaipur has assigned 60% weight to CAT 2021 scores, 15% weight to PI performance, 9% weight for work experience, 9% weight for academic profile, and 7% weight for diversity.

With a 60% weight for CAT 2021 scores and 15% weight for PI performance, effectively, 75% of the weighted composite score is in your hands. This is more or less true
for all CAP IIMs. Your academic profile will account for 9% of the total weight, of which 1% is for professional programs like CA and CS.
Candidates with work experience will be assigned extra marks, though those with less than or equal to 6 months or more than 60 months of experience will be awarded no marks for work experience. Female candidates (especially non-engineers) will get a significant advantage in IIM Udaipur's 2021 admissions process.
