Aditya Birla has had an everlasting presence in my life ever since childhood. ABG has various brands under its umbrella which has been part of my life’s transition from a child to teenage to a working individual and finally as I currently embark on my journey to be a future leader. One of the areas where ABG has made me feel it’s extravagant presence  has been in my home. You might be wondering how? Well it has been through one of their most popular brands Ultra-tech Cement. Home is the place where I have grown up and where my most precious memories harbour. Specially for me I have spent 25 years of my life at my home the spectrum of emotions have been huge from heart-breaking ones to joyous ones- both of which has brought tears to my eyes. Home is never a place it’s a feeling and Aditya Birla has contributed a major way in ensuring that this feeling stays in my life forever. Another subsidiary of ABG that has been having an impact since a long time is Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited. ABGFRL has a lot of brands under it such as Van Heusen , Allen Solly, Peter England, Forever 21, Louis Philippe. Out of these brands I have been using some since teenage years and after joining MBA I have shifted to rest of the brands. Since the teenage years I have mainly used the brand Forever 21 in various spheres of my life.  This brand has stayed with me since the time I transitioned from an teenager to a working woman (Forever 21) to an MBA student (Allen Solly , Van Heusen) . I still remember the day when I got shortlisted for interview to NMIMS and I decided to buy a blazer. The first brand that caught my eye had been Allen Solly and when I wore the blazer I could feel a surge of confidence in my veins and at that moment I felt I am ready for the world. As they say every first is always special , hence Allen Solly always holds a special place in my life. Not only this I remember that I wore this brand when I got an internship in my dream company. Once again ABG has created another special memory for me and I wish in future it continues to do so as I get to live my dream of being a future leader.

Being born in a middle class family with an elder sibling, since birth I had a lot of expectations attached to me in terms of academic career. While working on the path to fulfil these expectations I didn’t realise when I had become ambitious. I wanted to the best in everything , be challenged in every aspect of life to conquer the challenges to emerge as a winner. The biggest challenge that I have faced till date came in life during the first year of my corporate career. I was a young graduate out of college with an IT background placed in a Telecommunications company. I didn’t have much knowledge of Telecommunications domain at that time and I was assigned to handle a very important client within 6 months of my entry in corporate life. The client had given a project after a long sabbatical and hence it was crucial that this project be implemented smoothly as it could make or break the path for future projects to flow it. Added to this , the project was the first of its kind to get implemented and being a new employee, I wasn’t aware of the functionalities required to implement the same. In the initial phase I had seniors to guide me but as their workload increased their guidance reduced. I still remember those times when I would sit for 15-16 hours wondering what to do as the timeline for project delivery was approaching and the project wasn’t done halfway. However after a certain period of time , I realised that the only person who could help me was myself. Hence I decided to go through all the instructions manuals to understand the basic workings. Then with continuous interactions with seniors and putting in 20 hours for every day in one month, I was able to deliver the project successfully. The project got implemented successfully and paved the way for future business with the client. My team earned goodwill and I became the youngest person to win Quarterly award in my organisation. The challenges were numerous but if you set your eyes on the target then nothing will ever be impossible for “Where there is a will, there is a way”.
