Why Aditya Birla Group is big in Your life?
The seed sown by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla, feed by visionaries in the league of Ghanshyamdas Birla, Aditya Vikram Birla and B.K. Birla and nurtured by Kumar Mangalam Birla, has become a giant tree stretching its arms to an extent where people can satisfy majority of their basic needs under the shadow of the tree – “Aditya Birla Group”
The group with the mission “to deliver superior values to the customers, shareholders, employees and society at large”, has sailed through decades overcoming many Tsunamis, shaping different aspects of my day to day life.
Through its offshoot stretched in sectors like – Finance (Aditya Birla Capital Ltd., which I trusted while putting my money in Mutual Funds ), Metal (Hindalco, Novelis, Birla Copper etc, instances of which can be found in products ranging from packaging Aluminium foil to heavy vehicles’ bodies), Cement (UltraTech, which is trusted by my parents during house maintenance and upgrading activities), Telecom (Vodafone Idea Limited, whose network coverage has given me an edge over other networks across India), Textiles (Grasim), Fashion and Retail (Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail having fashion brands like- Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly and Peter England which has become the part and parcel of my day to day life), Carbon Black(Birla Carbon supports the Tyres of my bike), Insulators (Aditya Birla Insulators which is predominantly visible in electric poles and transformers) and Agri-Business (Indo Gulf whose use I have perceived during the sowing season in my village), time and again, the group has served the requirements and expectations of mine during different phases of my life. Even while moving to a new location to join IIFT, the initial names I recalled to do away with my basic requirements are the ones associated with the group
Customer Centric approach bundled with Sustainable mechanism has helped the group staying alive in the hearts of millions. Being a “World of Opportunities” for its more than 120,000 employees, the Group has ensured the well-being of all. The Achievements and Awards won while operating in 5 continents across this global village signifies the impact the Group has created in the upliftment of the Society and its people. I not only can relate my growth along the lines of the group but also feel the emotional bonding that I share since my memory, making the Group an inseparable part of my life.
How ABG has Impacted My Life?
“Even if you are born with a silver spoon, life won’t be a cakewalk for you”, the idea aptly imitates the scenario of today’s world. We have witnessed many multi-dollar organisations falling to ashes and a single idea sailing through the sky. Life has taken a new set of turns where failures are pillars to success.
My life Journey is a story of a small town boy with big ambitions who failed regularly while sailing through the Ocean of Opportunities. Life was never a piece of cake for me, at every stage I had to compete to remain relevant in the race of Survival of the Fittest. For me, challenges and failures are the teachers which has shaped my emotions and thoughts during the Journey. We have been taught that single drop can create an ocean but a single failure can finish your ambitions and dreams too.
During my Corporate journey of almost 2.5 years in Oracle, I had encountered many situations where I found myself on the verge of failing or giving up but the inner conscience of mine has always made me to ask myself, If others can excel why can’t I ? if I give up today, who will taught me to fail ?
Life may be a hiccups journey but the best part of it is the success after failures, if I had given up I might never had experienced the joy I got after excelling in those situations. The learning of transforming myself with the changing situation has not only helped me to scale new heights in my life but also enables out-of-box thought process inside me. Still now, I am learning and growing myself with the competing world and meticulously believe in beautiful lines of Robert Frost which are:
Woods are Lovely, Dark and Deep,
But I have promises to keep,
Miles to go before I sleep,
Miles to go before I sleep.
