This will enhance my learning process at IIM Visakhapatnam and will also boost my opportunities, widens my scope and help me to achieve better career options. IIM Visakhapatnam is famous for its diverse crowd and this diversification teaches a lot specially to me how to fit yourself in the crowd like lock and key and polishing your own uniqueness like your DNA. Not only being a student of IIM Visakhapatnam is a proud moment for me but also two years down the line becoming an alumnus of IIM Visakhapatnam will be a prouder moment for me.
Visakhapatnam is an industrial center with a lot of heavy industries, so we have a location factor on our side. Connectivity with them, exposures to such industries and knowing the culture and requirements of these industries would really help us to develop our skills.
IIM Visakhapatnam batch strength is good enough that we can develop a close-knit family relation with our batch and also with our seniors. Having a small batch give us the privilege to know others, understand them closely and personally and exchange our interpersonal skills and behavior.
Visakhapatnam is known for its cleanliness (despite of being an industrial center), beauty and its port and beaches, so it’s a plus point for a person like me who love exploring new place and its beauty. Visiting a sea shore is something I was craving for but goa plans are meant to be cancelled but now I can fulfil my aspiration.
I was brought up in North India and did my graduation from Delhi University, so the only experience I have is of North Indian culture and now I am getting an opportunity to taste a flavor of different place, culture and language all together so I cannot miss this. These upcoming 2 years of my life is going to be a thrilling experience for me that I will never forget.
Which ABG company would I want to work for and why?
I want to work for Birla CARBON. To explain why, I want to state that I did my graduation in Chemistry (H) and there I learnt the importance of carbon in upcoming field and have a brief knowledge of the researches that are performed on carbon.
Nanotechnology is present and future and researches that are performed on carbon has given us all new allotropes of carbon for e.g. Q-carbon. These allotropes will bring a revolution in the industries replacing all the pre-existing technology and material with new efficient carbon fiber.
The future market has great potential for carbon from mining to medicinal industry. And the plus point to work with carbon is it is the most abundant element found on earth. So, this sector of ABG group will continue to grow and rule the carbon production industry and therefore I would love to work for an industry which has so much to learn and has great future scope.
