For me, the fact that you already know there would be a set of tasks up for the week and an understanding of how these tasks would add up to a larger goal with you being accountable for makes the start of the week an interesting one for me. It's almost like breaking down a larger goal into pieces and knowing quite well that the task at hand is just one of those pieces and it shall further complement. I look at these tasks from a cricket fan’s angle where you have a set target in mind for each over. Some overs you know you just have to score a couple of runs, and some overs you probably know that it is critical and hence every over brings in you the excitement and that's exactly how week brings in the excitement.
That was quite interesting; How are the goals of ABG aligned with your personal goals?
To be honest, alignment to the capacity of the organization and personal goals boiling down to the organizational goals at the end of the day is about creating values for customers and investors. There is a sore amount of parallels one could try in the kind of responsibilities one looks for, the kind of culture that you want to bring in for yourself and people around you and also the ability to think strategically. So those behavioural aspects of the goal that we have to achieve at work are the ones that ABG instils. I could write down a parallel to myself in personal life but having said that there wouldn't be a perfect alignment in what I want to achieve versus what the company wants me to achieve. From a very different lens the ways and means of achieving them, the people aspect, the market aspect of achieving those goals and the sense of accountability is what basically flows down to the personal goals as well. That's all I can say.
What does ABG symbolize?
I think the answer is in the sentence “The strong value system and something that most Indians will be proud of”. ABG also symbolizes a sense of huge integrity, pride and security. These are the things I can think of.
