Let’s talk about IIM Kashipur, the IIM in the North. Located in the Industrial Belt of Rudrapur, it is surrounded by many prominent industrial establishments with likes of Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto Limited, Nestle India, Ashok Leyland, Parle Agro, Dabur India Limited, and Micromax. It allows budding future managers to have more hands-on experience.
IIM Kashipur was mentored by IIM Lucknow, which is known for its academic rigor. IIM Kashipur follows the same rigor to shape us into better professionals. IIM Kashipur enjoys a strong industry connect, being only 240 kilometers from Delhi. I have attended several guest lectures by prominent industry leaders in around 10 days and listening to them was very insightful for us.
Talking about the campus itself, it is spread in 200 acres of land. It was the first IIM among new IIMs to move into its permanent campus. IIM Kashipur has a large number of well-qualified permanent faculties which are easily approachable and available to resolve the student‘s queries After the long discussions in the classrooms, the hostels in IIM Kashipur are a bliss to relax in. Using Radiant Cooling and Solar Power helps to decrease our Carbon Footprint. Operational for nearly 2 years, the campus with its Red Brick Walls is always abuzz with the activities.
Be it the Morning classes, the afternoon quizzes, the evening sports the club events or the late night studies, the Campus never sleeps. It doesn’t matter who you were when you joined. IIM Kashipur would transform you into a better person and a better Professional.
IIM Kashipur became the second IIM to organize ‘HUMAN LIBRARY’ in March 2018. Students and Faculties were blindfolded, and HUMAN BOOKS conversed on varying topics. IIM Kashipur has 6 Academic clubs, 6 non-academic clubs, 9 Committees and 3 Cells which provide students an opportunity to apply their Management Concepts Practically. These Clubs, Committees, and Cells conduct over more than 240 events over the year to provide exposure to the students in varying fields. “Agnitrya” is the Annual Management-Cultural-Sports fest of IIM Kashipur which enjoys participation from pan India. We also have Ted-X talks in IIM Kashipur.
IIM Kashipur is about 30 km away from Jim Corbett National Park, an important Tourist Destination in India. IIM Kashipur also held a quiz-Rumble in the Jungle in Jim Corbett National Park. There are many scenic locations near Kashipur, allowing us to enjoy the beauty of nature.
