“Being challenged in life is inevitable, being defeated in optional” - Roger Crawford.

“We don’t grow when things are easy. We grow when we face challenges”.

Life was going in a straightforward manner until I joined CTS. Schooling, Engineering, and work. I did not face significant challenges because I did not have a noteworthy ambition and things were happening as they were bound to happen. But I had in my mind during the course of my Engineering that I am going to pursue an MBA at some point in my life. Challenges started to come by as soon as the preparation for the CAT exams began.

Many people quit their jobs to prepare for any entrance examination. But I did not fall into that trap. This is because I felt an MBA is all about managing time and if you don’t manage your time now, how will you manage later. During September 2018, I was allotted to a new team which consists of three members. With CAT just two months away, the manager instructed us to bring the application to stability in three months’ time. The average office time has wavered around 13 hours per day. In addition to this I have to take up so many mocks and as well face entrance exams as well.

I was facing a three-way war during the month of November. A critical minor enhancement to be completed, viral fever and CAT exam. It was the most challenging phase of my life. I had to work 17 hours per day for 15 days on the trot during the month of November and I have to brush up the concepts as well to take up CAT. With viral fever taking my health down as well, it all came down to my mental toughness. Eventually, I was able to succeed in both aspects as well. I was able to deliver the enhancement on time and was able to take up CAT as well

It was a moment of pride when I got admission to pursue my ambition in NMIMS. After facing all the hurdles and challenges, I was able to secure admission. The learning during this period of 3-4 months was immense. This phase of life has indeed helped me grow as a better person!
