Challenging the odds, IIM Kashipur

With multi-brand fashion retail chain Pantaloons at its side and exclusive online and offline rights to American fast-fashion retailer Forever 21, Aditya Birla Group is a rising go-to place for the current generation. These have also been the one shop stop for me, my brother and my sister because of their wide range of products catering the need of consumers from almost every income group.

It can’t get bigger than this that Aditya Birla Group has contributed to the livelihood of each member of my family. It has been with us in multiple facets of life and has filled them with memories of happiness.

Part B: No Challenge can stop me

Challenges are part and parcel of life. For me, it all started when I got to know the part money plays in our lives. Being from an economically normal background and a normal school from a small city, it was a major challenge for me to excel in my academics without any special coaching classes. Like all the science graduates, I wanted to crack the JEE exam and get into the most coveted IITs. But it was tough for me to achieve that without any coaching and no guidance from a family with no scholars in the past. Still, I tried my best but didn’t get the best may be and got admission into India’s 1^st agriculture University. It was all pleasant for four years being a government college near my home town. Now, I wanted to be an MBA and again my folks were taking coaching from big institutes like TIME, CL and here I was thinking about the hefty fees and dropping the plans of MBA. Still, I prepared for the CAT entrance exam and what do you expect, a percentile in the 50s. The feeling was pathetic but I was not alone as I got all motivation and support from my family, friends, and teachers. With determination, hard work and some luck, I managed to achieve a decent percentile in CAT reattempt and here I am. I have learned that nothing is impossible to achieve if you work for it and it’s not necessary that everything goes right only when situations are in your favor.
