But what if someone does not have that confidence and realization of self-potential, one feels like he/she is a failure, unlovable, awkward and incompetent having a fragile sense for themselves and can be wounded by anyone. I used to feel the same at some point in my life but one fine day I bought a dress from ‘PANTALOONS’ – fashion retail store, owned by Aditya Birla Group and after wearing that I understood how much dressing good can enhance one’s personality, then I realized that I always had a negative perception of myself which was resulting in social anxiety, lack of confidence and depression because I undermined myself by thinking that I don’t have a good fashion sense or the money to buy some high-end branded clothes so I’m not presentable and all of these were evident by my body language and isolation from social engagement.
On that day, the sense of satisfaction and confidence which I had was immense. Now I know ‘one needs to be confident, not fashionable to be different’ and for that, we need to realize our quality, not follow someone else. I started believing in myself and my abilities and improved it day-by-day. I actively participated in events and activities which honed my leadership and social skills.
All these give me an ample amount of self-confidence that allows me to move forward and achieve my goals. I now have a sense of control over my life and actions and I do what I wish and even if things don’t go the way I want them to, I don’t lose hope and move forward. So, for all these, I am thankful to Aditya Birla Group for making brands affordable by the majority. The hashtag #StyleYourChange means a lot to me as it has boosted my confidence and changed my attitude and perception about fashion.
