Aditya Birla has an astounding presence in over 14 industry sectors and also operates in 35 countries, therefore making it nearly impossible for an individual to not be aware of the conglomerate.
Though there are numerous products of the ABG group under different categories which I have used so far, ABG’s fashion brands have indeed been the most sought-after ones. My wardrobe is dominated by the brands of ABG. This is majorly due the wide variety of choices made available for people of all ages. Also, there are choices for all categories of clothes. I remember shopping at Pantaloons for office wear for my first ever job and the most obvious choices there were Allen Solly and Van Heusen. I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing collection at Pantaloons and I am a regular there till date.
Planet Fashion is another wonderful venture of the ABG group, an initiative of Madura Fashion & Lifestyle, as it houses some of the most amazing brands and collection. It now has spread to multiple cities and towns belonging to different tiers all over the country. In addition to Planet Fashion, I would also like to mention another noteworthy venture which is Forever 21. ABG has bought the India rights to Forever 21 which only demonstrates the broad and ambitious vision of the conglomerate. The brand has followers all across the globe and is a personal favourite of mine. ABG’s vision especially in the fashion industry is inspiring and sets a benchmark for all other players in the category.
I have always been someone who is seldom satisfied with the current level of achievement, which in turn has only pushed and motivated me to do better in life. As a child, I suffered from stage fear, which is not uncommon. However, instead of accepting things as they are, I fought my fear. I began participating in a lot of extempore, debate and poetry elocution competitions at the age of ten.
Initially I did falter, failed to make a mark on stage. But it made me more confident over time and helped me shape my overall personality as a result of which I made progress. I started exuding confidence on stage and had also begun winning awards and accolades for my performance at those competitions. Later I also hosted a lot of events at school, college and at my previous workplace. My entire personality was transformed due to my initiative and sincere efforts. It helped me immensely at my performance in interviews and group discussions.
I firmly believe that confidence is the key to success as it is usually one of the first traits which peers and seniors observe in an individual. As a management student at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, my belief has only been strengthened. I still work towards conquering my fear and at present I am a proud member of the senior committee of the Dramatics club of my institute. I interned at one of the most reputed companies in the world today and I will always be thankful to that one decision which I made early in life. This is my story of having overcome challenges to achieve my ambitions.
