Aditya Birla Group is the name that is creating “seamless” experiences and wonderful memories for their customers worldwide. It is not just a multinational conglomerate which is operating in 35 countries with more than 120,000 employees but it is a name which people trust. ABG has created an impact in my life in ways that made me realize the commitment and passion of ABG towards its customers.
My first rich experience with ABG was during my senior school where “Peter England” came to my rescue for the much-awaited farewell party, it set me apart from the crowd making me feel confident. Next up was “Louis Philippe”, D-day: campus placements undergraduate college, again my formal suit signified sophistication and class, and I was able to make a mark on my first interview itself. By now I was definitely acquainted with the company and its values that make it stand out from others. Their “integrity” is one of the most important value which wins over lifelong loyal customers. Another example of their values I experienced was while using “Vodafone Idea” telecom network, the seamless mobile services they provide is just amazing, I use their internet services extensively and can vouch for their quality. And last but not the least “UltraTech Cement”, India’s no.1 cement brand was used in the construction of our home which brought along with it: trust, security and a strong foundation. And in fact it is responsible for some of the India’s largest infrastructural projects which in turn are a contributor to India’s economic growth. So, ABG is playing a big role not just only in my life but also in life of every individual in a direct or indirect way.
How Have You Made An Impact ?
Cracking JEE I was able to get a seat into one of the IITs which in itself is a big achievement in our society. But the real challenge was coming up, transition to an independent life. Ours was a newer IIT which provided me with plethora of opportunities to explore. I’m a big sports enthusiast and basketball was close to my heart since my childhood days. So, I joined the basketball team of our college, went on to play in the reputed Inter-IIT Sports Meet just to realize that the competition there was very tough and our team lacked behind in a lot of aspects. We had smaller batch size in our college and more PORs, so people had opportunity to get into multiple committees and societies which in turn I felt was reducing the quality of their output. Our basketball team was suffering from the same, people missing out practice sessions, not taking tournaments seriously and so on, mostly because everyone had their hands too full. I became the Captain of the team the very next year based on my performance and commitment to the sport. I quickly decided to come up with a team of dedicated individuals who really wanted to be the part of the team for their love and respect to the game. I scheduled regular practice sessions, gave importance to team fitness, participated in various tournaments and within a year we were able to turn the tables to our favor. Although we couldn’t make it big in the Inter-IIT Sports Meet but we won 3 major tournaments against all odds that year and the following year. This experience made me realize the importance of teamwork, leadership, commitment and the most important of all discipline. I felt the impact I made was of the culture that I created for the sport at our college, culture is the one thing which will be carried on forward and the one thing which will ensure that this dedication and commitment gets passed on to the future team members.
