How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far
I come from a middle class and protective family where parents give all they have got for the future of their children. After I completed my 10th standard education, next question my parents had was my +2 education. Being from a small town they wanted me to get better education from a city.
I selected Nasik for my further studies. I was worried how am I going to manage amongst the city kids as I was a Marathi medium student. But my parents were worried about how will I manage on my own. And their worries were obvious because I was their 16 year old little boy. Days passed I moved to Nasik and shifted to an apartment with 4 other guys. Few days later they started humiliating me, which later turned into torture and ragging. I used to sleep in kitchen to hide from them. This became hard to handle and I went back home. During my stay at home I could see the hopes and expectations they had when I went to Nasik turning into disappointment.
It struck me and I came back but this time stronger than before. It’s been 8 years away from home. I have come across thousands of people and hundreds of different incidents but it made me stronger with each experience. And this one incident gave me the best lesson of my life – no matter how bad things get in life hang in there, don’t give up. Things will start falling into right place.
