One of the largest conglomerates of India that has witnessed the country in turbulent times and in times which are rosy such as these, The Aditya Birla Group has touched millions of lives and has certainly created a great impact by making living easier. And I cannot agree more that it has been big in my life since my childhood. The earliest memory is of my mother packing my lunch for school in Freshwrapp which would remain fresh and hot for hours.

And the TVC for Ultratech Cement is still etched in my memory. Later in life I realized that Ultratech is an epitome of strength. The quality and strength of Ultratech Cement combined with the exceptional technical expertise provided to my family for home building was commendable. And we were able to build our house of dreams, the biggest project of our lives through easy finance by Aditya Birla Capital. Not just our house is protected, we feel the safest in driving cars with tyres lined with Birla Carbon. The tyres are stronger and safer.

There is not a single dimension that Aditya Birla Group has not touched in my life. Pantaloons, Forever 21, Allen Solly always came to my rescue when I wanted to upgrade my wardrobe or refresh my style. Forever 21 has always satiated my hunger for newest trends and hottest styles. Aditya Birla Group has been big in my life in every aspect. It has brought me closer to my near and dear ones. With the Idea telecom services, now Vodafone Idea, its reasonable and affordable tariffs, great network connectivity and voice clarity, my family and friends are just a call away.

I’m always looking for opportunities to do better and seek to challenge myself in order to improve and commit wholeheartedly to the tasks. My determination and focus towards my goals are one of my greatest strengths and my resilience helps me sail through the most difficult of times.

In my undergraduate college, I was highly ambitious of doing an internship abroad and worked hard with the applications and successfully managed to get one. Then came the D-day. As I reached the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, I was exposed to a completely new and different work environment and culture including a formidable change in time-zone. My first day at the University was very hectic owing to numerous tasks and a disturbed sleeping cycle. But I listed out all the tasks and prioritized them. So, I went to the University first, met my professor-in charge and discussed project details with my mentor, took time between lunch hours to visit the local bank to open an account and left a bit early in the evening to buy essential groceries to prepare a vegetarian dinner for myself. The struggle did not end at workplace. I didn’t know how to cook and watched YouTube videos and learnt how to cook. I suffered a burn in the process but gradually was able to prepare meals for myself. As there was not enough time for cooking, planning and cooking in advance was the key to not staying hungry.

I also adopted to the research methods of Canada which were different from India and ended getting an Award of Excellence from the Professor. Further, my commitment towards my goal and dedication has helped me secure admission in one of the best B-schools in the country, which is IIFT. I am confident of climbing the success ladder through my determination and tapping every opportunity which the institute provides.
