Part- A

It was in August of 2014, and I was anxious about getting a formal and good looking shirt for attending placements in my college. My sister and I were looking for the right shirt roaming in the shopping mall for about 2 hours, and then we came across Louie Philippe section in the mall. At first glance every costume in the division looked good, So I tried some shirts from it suggested by my sister and picked one which I felt comfortable. It perfectly looked good on me, and it’s also a formal, which is a rare combination. It was presented as a gift from my sister on the Rakshabandhan, where I am supposed to give her one.

On the D-Day, I have donned the shirt and attended the interview. The panel which I have to attend was really tough, and the expressions I see on everyone’s face coming out shows a lot of disappointment. It was really a stressful interview for me too, but I have always maintained smile and confidence in my body language. I don’t say that’s because of the shirt, but who knows, comfort can be one of the reasons for me to maintain that confident smile on my face. And when the results were out almost no one from the panel attended has cracked it except me. From that day, I had many emotions and memories attached to the brand, Louie Philippe.

Part- B

Life is a roller coaster ride, and you never know what it brings to you.

The very prestigious event of my college CONVERGENCE 2013- Technical fest which is conducted for every university-level student to display and enhance their skills in competitions held in it. I was a volunteer in the workshop event representing our department in the fest. Our coordinator has to promote the event in other colleges, and I have to do it inside the college. Unfortunately, the coordinator met with an accident, and the event was about to cancel because of lack of registrations and sponsors for the workshop event. I got a call from a senior asking me to take the responsibility explaining how prestigious the event is for the department and to its staff. First I was reluctant to take the position but later realizing that I have to be the coordinator managing the very same event next year, I felt like it is my department event, and it should definitely be represented in the fest, I took the responsibility of coordinator and promoted the newly joined freshers as volunteers and asked them to look after the inside college promotions. I have approached some new sponsors and colleges for sponsorship and registrations. Our team was able to bring record level registrations in fest history, and the event was a big success. This was just the start of me facing challenges and achieving the end goal but was very important for me because of what I have learned from it.
