PART A- ABG touches millions in the world. It is unlikely that you have never used a product, or traveled on the road or visited a site where ABG has not contributed in some way. Its presence in your life is massive.
When we talk about Aditya Birla and how it has touched my life, I would say there will not be a single corner where Aditya Birla was not a part of it. Starting with the most important place where we feel the safest which is our home, I still remember when my brother was perusing his CIVIL Engineering degree and when he was learning about the cement that is trusted the most, and it was Ultra Tech Cement that was the most preferred brand.
As we all know Aditya Birla Group is much more than this, for me Aditya Birla is a way of connection where it is they who help millions of people to connect through their Vodafone Idea Limited Services. I was a part of this family since Idea was an independent venture. Aditya Birla Group is well known for the most prestigious education institute in the country which includes Aditya Birla World Academy, and Bits Pilani are some of the top institutes of the country, and they have set an educational benchmark for everyone.
When it comes down to fashion Aditya Birla Group is one of the leading brands in the fashion world, which consists of their own brand Pantaloons to the dream brand like Ralph Lauren, Hackett,etc. It is like you have everything under one roof. For my family and me, Allen Solly is the most trusted brand when it comes to T-shirts as it has the best fabric and Peter England when it comes to Formal wears and my first business suite was from Louis Philippe. So I have been a part of the Aditya Birla group for life long time and proud to say that it has never disappointed in any case.
For me Aditya Birla is like a Go to place for everything from business to home needs you will find it all. Aditya Birla Group is not a Group it is a world in its own
PART B- At the core of the ABGLP program are people who drive to make an impact, irrespective of what challenges they face.
“Life is not a bed of roses” When I look back at my life, and the experiences what I have been through, I do smile and say, “it was all worth it.” My life has been full of a roller coaster ride. Belonging from a family where the head of the family is a Government Servant (Mumbai police) it was a very different life cycle that my brother and I were brought up. My brother and I started swimming at the age of 4, where our schedule was the most hectic one till date. It was a challenging but straightforward lifestyle as juggling between a lot and also striving for results at the same time.
This process and schedule when on till my 5th grade where my life took a complete 360-degree turn where It was found that I was diagnosed with Learning Disability. As this condition was new and not know and as my family and I were trying to figure out what exactly measures could be taken, but when my school came to know about this condition they failed me and told my parents that I do not belong to this school I belong to a special school. It was the lowest point of my life where there was no one standing with me and my family.
In this, my father walked up to me and told me one thing that I still remember he said,” Rajat this is just the beginning of the problems, and we have two options: either we join the individual school and except defeat or we take the challenge head-on like a sportsman.” I did not think of it and took on the challenge and repeated a year I cleared my Board (10th SSC) with first class. Completed my Under Graduation in BMS from HR College and gave CAT, NMAT, CET entrance exams, where I successfully converted IIM Kozhikode and NMIMS (Mumbai) for Core MBA program.
In this whole process, sports played an essential part of my life; it kept me motivated and showed me how I could be a sportsman when you do accept your defeat like a champion. I also represented and won State level swimming competition and also played Water Polo at the national level.
My life is full of challenges even today, I might not be the most perfect person, but I can assure I will never give up on anything that I have been working on.
