PART A - Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life
It is amusing how often we get used to things in life, that we end up not realizing its true importance to the fullest.
The Aditya Birla Group has blanketed our lives in a way that we do not consciously plan to associate ourselves with their offerings anymore. It is more a necessity now rather than a requirement.
Since childhood, completely unaware of brands, I have unknowingly chosen their products solely based on sheer liking and happiness. From clothes to connectivity, the Aditya Birla group has managed to deep dive into our daily lives to effectively understand our real needs and desires.
My MBA journey kick-started a year back, and it started off with buying the right formal attire to appear in for my interviews. Throughout my student life, I have been pampered with innumerable options in terms of apparels and accessories. Further adding to it, the luxury brands have made decision-making easier during important life events and occasions.
While most of us are duly informed about the impact they have made in terms of fashion trends, they have significantly improved every other aspect of our lives as well, by providing us with the cushion of safety and comfort.
The excitement of getting my first mobile connection while in school, to the joy of witnessing the development of my dream house, the Aditya Birla Group has beautifully positioned itself within the best of my memories and has helped capture the true essence of growth in life.
Spanning across majority of the world, the brands never fail to create a sense of familiarity and assurance even in the alien most places. Enriching us with the best of services at the click of a button, they have always made life a little more convenient, if not easy.
The beauty, however, lies in their focus which indicates towards the integrity that the name carries with itself.
The focus has never been about promoting its own name at every opportunity, or about aggressively trying to do business. It has rather been all about touching our lives at every stage and adding immense value to it. It has been about transforming our houses into homes, lighting up millions of lives, and delivering the best by ensuring purity and utmost satisfaction.
Throughout these years, the aim has not altered, and it is inevitable through the trust that it has built within us.
As I embark on this journey to grow onward and upward in life, I believe this name would continue to act as an integral entity by making me feel a little more confident with each passing day and would help me in giving wings to my future aspirations, by not only building industries, but by building solutions.
PART B - How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far
As the saying goes, “If life were predictable, it would cease to be life, and be without flavor.”
As we grow up and begin to realize the tiniest of our dreams and aspirations, life starts putting unexpected challenges in front of us, only to strengthen our determination.
In my case, it began right from my early childhood. As I started growing up, it didn’t take long for me to understand that my natural self is extremely reserved and even daily interaction with people around required considerable amount of effort. While I simultaneously started pursuing dance as an art form, it took me some time to connect the dots and recognize that it is the perfect way of expressing feelings and emotions without any fear of judgement. Throughout these years, as I have managed to learn more than ten different dance forms and have participated in and anchored multiple events, it has continued to be my weapon of confidence and has helped in developing my personality in the most natural yet effective way possible.
My student life was well-balanced with right amount of focus towards academics and other extra-curricular activities. I had started preparing for the twelfth standard Board examination with a dream of making my parents proud. However, with about a month left for the first paper, I met with a car accident. While, the injuries thankfully weren’t major, my daily movements were restricted for a considerable amount of time. Consequently, my results were not satisfactory.
The concept of resilience and positiveness made the most sense at that phase of my life. One month of rigorous preparation helped me land myself into a renowned Engineering college.
While I started working after completing my graduation, my focus remained on pursuing an MBA degree. I was in the best phase of my life where I was not expected to take up any responsibilities and had complete liberty to put all my energy into my career. As my visa was under process for a work-related travel abroad, I was informed about sudden deterioration of my father’s health conditions. With a day’s notice, I left my job.
Thereafter, we, as a family, stayed in a hospital for my father’s treatment for the next six months. Every single day, I have observed hundreds of people with the highest of hopes in their eyes. The irony was the place itself where maximum deaths happen, yet I could only witness extreme optimism and blinding faith.
I wonder, if it was more of a revelation than a challenge in my life, but it has taught me the value of all the petty things in life which we tend to ignore, the power of human connections, and the fact that giving up is the ultimate form of cowardice.
My loss has engraved the most significant thought in my mind, that any time is the best time if the intent is right.
With immense support from my family, I regained courage to give life to my unfulfilled dream of pursuing an MBA.
Here I am, currently in the second year, standing at the crossroads of a beautiful yet challenging life ahead. Life has been a leveler so far, with equal amounts of shocks and surprises which have shaken my ground beneath yet have kept me well-grounded. It has not come with a manual but has now prepared me to face any sort of agonizing situation and enjoy while facing it.
I have consciously made a promise to myself to not overlook the smallest of opportunities that life has to offer. Instead, I aim to create opportunities for others in future and add value to the society through effective leadership and constant perseverance.
