Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life?
Right from a gorgeous room view of Bandra-Worli sea link, which is a testimony to Ultratech cement’s strength, to the Freshwrapp aluminum foil that keeps the food my mom made for me warm, the presence of Aditya Birla group in my daily life just cannot go unnoticed.
Apart from being India’s largest cement company and having its share in India’s largest telecom operator, ABG has touched my life a little differently. Being a fashion-conscious individual, I really put in efforts in my dressing and Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited never disappoints me with its plethora of fashion options.
Pantaloons is my go-to store for everything from western wear to ethnic wear and I’m fond of it in particular because of the range of comfortable and trendy choices it has and the unparalleled quality it provides, that too, without going too heavy on my pocket. Pantaloons is one brand I’ve been frequenting since I was a child and it has made its own special place in my heart.
Now that I’m a student of a reputed B-school, I cannot make any compromises with my formals either, and ABFRL has a solution for that as well with trustworthy brands like Allen Solly, Louis Philippe, Peter England and Van Heusen under its umbrella. These are the first brands that pop up in our heads whenever we think of formals and for the very same reason, my first set of formal suit set was also from Allen Solly. ABFRL has also helped expand the presence of Forever 21 in India which is renowned abroad for its fast fashion clothes. This has helped us be at par with global trends at affordable prices.
All in all, for me personally, Aditya Birla Group is an indispensable part of my life as it gives me options that help me express myself fashionably.
How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far?
I have always been a sincere and hard-working student right from my school days. So, when I finally decided that I would pursue management studies as my post-graduation, I knew it had to be from one of the top colleges in India. Considering the competition that involved getting into a good B-school, that in itself was quite challenging. I was working full time back then and a myriad of challenges threw itself over me.
One of the biggest challenges was to juggle and manage between my work and my preparation as I couldn’t afford to compromise with either of the two. I planned my time and organized my tasks into smaller sections so as to be able to efficiently deliver them. I struggled initially but then soon I got used to the schedule that I had planned out for myself and gave the best I could in both the fields.
As the examinations inched closer, another challenge crept in from my personal life when my brother’s wedding was finalized to take place right after my entrance exams. That meant that all the preparations for the wedding had to be managed and done beforehand. Being the only sister of the groom, I had my share of responsibilities that I had to take so that the wedding could be organized smoothly. I made the best use of the time that was left from work and study preparations to squeeze in meetings with decorators and caterers and finalized a huge chunk of wedding preparations as and when I could.
As if all these challenges weren’t enough, just when the examinations were about to approach, I fell sick and that took a toll on my health. I won’t lie, my resolve to perform good on the exams wavered as my body wouldn’t cooperate with the plans I had in my head. That was when my father motivated me. He reminded me of all the hard work and toil that I had already done and told me that this was only the last mile where I just needed to have faith in myself and take the plunge. That gave me the mental strength to face my examinations and now that I look back, it was one of the most crucial phases of my life.
Currently I’m happy to be in my dream B-school, received multiple awards in recognition of my work at office and of course, the wedding went well too. My biggest take away from all the challenges I faced in achieving my dream was to never stop believing in myself.
