Choosing IIM Kashipur is no doubt my wisest decision to date. When I first joined the institute, I had my doubts. Did I make the right choice? Will I be able to compete with the brightest minds in the country? But, as the days passed by, I felt myself evolving, I could feel the change in me, and I was able to perform more than my limit. Then I realized, IIM Kashipur has embraced me.
The things I like about IIM Kashipur are, the campus which is spread across 200 acres with unique infrastructure, featured by spacious digitalized classrooms, resourceful library with around 5000 books, many e-resources covering the disciplines of Management and its allied areas. One among the noticeable features is the hostel facility. Each hostel building includes four floors with six single occupancy rooms per floor. Each floor has a common area for student interactions and is equipped with appliances like refrigerator, oven and washing machine. The hostels are equipped with radiant cooling rather than air conditioning which is comparatively energy efficient and emits less carbon. We have a Wellness centre in the hostel area with Doctor visiting every day.
The worth mentioning things are the student clubs and committees. The students at IIM Kashipur take these clubs and committees very seriously. The student body has hosted many flagship events with participants from across the country. Some of the events and activities include Coalescence (HR, Marketing, Operations, Finance), Uttishtha (Entrepreneurship summit), Kacofonia (Section wars), Agnitraya (Management-Sports-Cultural Fest), Ted-X, etc.
The institute is situated in the midst of various scenic, adventurous, wildlife as well as religious destinations, some of the notable places being Nainital hill station, Jim Corbett wildlife, Rishikesh adventure sports, Chapta - the mini Switzerland.
