I was 9 years old, then my grandfather used to walk me around our under-construction house. I used to run around, jump over some bags, which had a bright red-yellow logo on it. Something, that after so many years, has still stayed in my head. Those were Ultratech cement bags and the logo on the sides was the Aditya Birla Group logo. Just like it has that logo left an unforgettable impression in a child’s mind, Aditya Birla Group has made a very strong and positive reputation in various fields like non-ferrous metals, construction, textiles, fashion, telecommunication and financial services.
Idea, Pantaloons and Allen Solly are the products from Aditya Birla Group that have contributed the most to me personally. Over a decade back, Idea touched our lives with their commendable network services and the heart touching advertisements that everyone used to enjoy. When I reached my mid-teens, and the era of shopping from malls over local shops was taking over, I remember Pantaloons to be one of the first brands that I explored, and even today, it remains one of my favorite places to shop at. The range and variety of products is simply impressive. And then as I entered into my professional life, I was introduced to Allen Solly. They offer the best range of formal and semi-formal clothing, which are comfortable and highly presentable.
With these unmatched product qualities and their effort at social growth in all these sectors, Aditya Birla Group has impacted our lives in more ways than possible.
Learning and improving is the most important aspect of anyone’s life. I am glad I learnt this very early in my life. During my tenth standard, my family went through some unwanted turn of events. We used to live in a joint family, but due to some reasons, beyond anyone’s control or understanding, we split up. I was young and naïve. I wanted to question and fight back. But then I saw my parents and their struggle in this entire situation. They wanted to solve the family problem, protect their daughter from the negativity and help her focus on her academics as it was my tenth board year. They were torn between all this and were shattered. It was then that I realized that I need to be their strength. I didn’t understand much around, but I knew with my smile and a hug at the end of the day would give them all the strength to handle the situation. And I’m glad I could do the same. My parents were a lot relaxed to see their young daughter being strong and positive and it helped them in more ways that I could have imagined.
Today, over a decade later, my parents still appreciate and proudly tell how I acted maturely and that kept them going. This might not be a large scale impact, but it gave strength to my parents and this, I feel is one impact that I made of which I am extremely proud.
