HOW ABG IS BIG IN MY LIFE
While in today’s era it is difficult for everyone to retain customers, ABG has managed to retain my family as loyal customers for close to 10 years with a certain set of their brands, the small things in life, the small places in my home where ABG is present, like the Ultratech cement which was used to build my home, or the Peter England formal shirt that my dad just bought for me or in my phone as Vodafone Idea. My father has been a loyal customer for Peter England for close to 12 years now, it's almost a part of him, and how ABG acquires new customers can be seen from how father is doing the marketing of brands like Peter England and Louis Philippe, the jobs in ABG, my parents just like the elderly of the society consider ABG to be the most sought after companies to work for, quite possibly because of its CSR initiatives, employee benefit initiatives, job growth, trusted business model etc. Growing up we all hold the judgement of parents in high regard so my father’s recommendation definitely holds weight in my life, and this is how ABG acquired me as a customer be it for Peter England, Ultratech or career in ABG and that is how it contributes to my life with the small places where it is present.
HOW HAVE I MADE AN IMPACT
We all know how life is full of challenges, and challenges are important, either you conquer it and it becomes an achievement or you don’t and it becomes lifelong learning: we wouldn’t want something to haunt us for life, would we? One such challenge I faced in the final year of my college wherein I was finding it very difficult to secure a job, coming from a middle class family facing financial problems, securing a job for me was of paramount importance. So, I along with my friends and seniors formulated the specific preparation strategy and researched about specific competencies and skills a company might be looking for and I started working towards it, working on aptitude, communication skills and reasoning skills. For 5 months I woke up every day went straight in the placement process of the company I got the shortlisted for and gave my best in their selection process, and in the month I secured my first offer, the feeling was of pure and absolute bliss. My key takeaways from my experience were the importance of perseverance, how you have to keep trying no matter how tough it may get, the importance of friends and peers who would work selflessly and tirelessly for your aspirations. Ever since, I communicate the same to the people that I meet so that they too can inspire and be inspired and people are never left wanting for ‘a connection’ Our generation anyway struggles to connect, and a little warmth will go a long way in making people believe that there is always somebody who cares.
