In a country like India that is bursting to the seams with a billion young hearts all ready to go out and make this world their oyster it feels like the real challenge is to not be discouraged by the sheer number of worthy competitors you find. Everything from catching a local to buying a movie ticket feels like swimming against a huge tide that looks more likely to drown you. But the upside of this never ending struggle are the lessons of patience, perseverance and hard work that one learns. At various points in my life, I have been thrown curve balls I could not answer. Before my class 10th board exams, my mother fell terribly sick and had to be hospitalized along with my grandfather who was already admitted. During my 12th exams I myself fell victim to my chronic ailment of asthma, which left me bedridden for 3 months. During my under graduation, I was fortunate enough to discover one of my passions in life, only to come to the acceptance that what you love may not be what you can do for your life. A week before my crucial MBA exams, I was stuck coordinating a very important high priority meeting for my client with global representatives, and I had to manage 3 days of meeting content between me and my teammate. At various crossroads, life has thrown me enough bouncers to make me want to rage and grow frustrated, but I have chosen to take it all in my stride as the gift of life is unique and wonderful. And we choose, what we do with this precious gift.
