I am sure we all have faced situations which made us think that this is too tough to hold on, too tough to keep going and when we had to choose between alternatives that put us in a difficult position. But these are exactly the very moments that brings out the best in us.
Few such challenges came in my life when our family suffered through bankruptcy during my under-graduation. This is when your value system and ethics are challenged but if you stay loyal to those very things, life will instil you with confidence that will be there to back up you during tough times like this.
This is the very moment I realised that why not use my hobby to help my father and also achieve something that brings us more closer to our end term goal of working in one of the top FMCG companies in India. Bodybuilding has always been a hobby but now it became a source of income to help my family, an idea leading to a start-up of importing supplements and selling it in India to retailers, gyms and direct clients. No doubt, an idea which sounds too easy is as complex to implement in real life. From looking for investment to supply chain management and sales, it required efforts which were unparalleled to any work I did before. Not only I managed to support my dad but also this helped in paying the fees of my btech degree.
I would like to end this article with something that has helped me kept going no matter what.
If you want a thing bad enough to go out and fight for it, to work day and night for it, to give up your time, your peace and your sleep for it. If all that you dream and scheme is about it and life seems useless without it. If you gladly sweat for it, fret for it, plan for it and lose all your terror of the opposition for it, if you simply go after the thing that you want with all your capacity, strength and sagacity. If neither cold, poverty, famine, nor gout, sickness or pain of body and brain, can keep you away from the thing you want. If dogged and grim you beseech and beset it, with the help of God, YOU WILL GET IT!
