“Never let the odds keep you from doing what you know in your heart you were meant to do.”

A human being is full of desires. He wants to have everything his heart longs for. In order to fulfill this need of getting everything, he tries to minimize the odds that are against him. However, life doesn’t work this way. No matter how hard we try, problems come our way and we ought to deal with them. Even my life is no different!

Right from the start, I have found myself in the situations I don’t want to be in. Always being the youngest in the class and being treated like a child made me feel like I don’t belong in this place. This treatment hit me hard when I entered a business school at the age of 19. All the people were so elder to me, many of them with years of work experience. Everyone used to give me a look as if I had done something wrong for being so young! When I saw people around me, they seemed quite mature to handle everything properly. However, did that mean that I was not capable enough to cope up with this environment? Did that mean that I didn’t belong in here?

Well, it might be possible! It might be that all the odds were against me – no work experience, no experience of hard reality! But this was something I always wanted to do. Being a management graduate, I always wanted to explore this field more, to learn more about it. I participated in many competitions to be in touch with my hobbies as well as to get relaxed. Even in competitions, there are many teams participating, but you just believe in yourself and give your best. After that, no matter what the result is, you are satisfied that you learnt something and put in your best efforts. No regrets! Taking this lesson forward, I have inculcated a habit of investing myself in doing what I want to do and give my best in it. No matter what the odds are, it would be a learning experience to shape the course of my life. After all, this is how life is supposed to be – UNPREDICTABLE!

ABG Impact in my Life

“Great businesses are never built on the quick sands of opportunism. For us, leadership lies at the heart of knowing what we stand for.”

  • Kumar Mangalam Birla

Built on a strong foundation of stakeholder value creation and responsible business practices, Aditya Birla Group has forayed into a wide range of sectors – metals, textiles, cement, apparels and telecom. Not just this, their dedication towards serving the society and facilitating inclusive growth is commendable. Running schools and hospitals, supporting villages and driving sustainable livelihood projects in various countries, ABG has come a long way in past 150 years.

ABG’s wide range of brands makes it appealing to each and every individual in one or the other way. Right from its Idea’s campaign – “ek idea jo badal de aapki duniya” to the Louis Phillipe’s “where work meets play”, ABG has defined itself as a brand that caters to the needs of almost all the market segments and adds value to the lives of people. One such brand of ABG that added value in my life is ‘Freshwrapp’.

All moms love their children and want the best for their health. Packing the lunch for school (and for college in later years), they ensure that we don’t fall sick by eating junk food. However, even packing the lunch requires proper protection to prevent food from bacteria. For my mom, that protection was ‘Freshwrapp’. She used to pack my lunch in Freshwrapp aluminium foil which kept the moisture in food intact and retain the original flavor. I, being the fan of the magic of mom’s hands, used to eat the packed lunch only. Probably, this is what has contributed towards my health and helped me to keep up with all the stress while growing up. What people say is right – Mom knows everything!
