In this era where a working mother packs lunch for her children, in high caliber of aluminum to keep it hot for her children, it’s in excess of metal spread. Be it fashion industry like the brands called Peter England, Vanheusen, Allen solly, Pantaloons, etc. this group is everywhere in every price range. All of these have been a part of my life as these are my favorite go to places whenever I need to buy new clothes. One common thing about these brands is, it’s all “about style”.
Be it ultra-tech cement (the largest manufacturer of cement in India) , carbon black manufacturing plants all over the world, aluminum plants, mining company, fertilizer company, chemical plants, digital banks, owning Vodafone-Idea(2nd largest telecommunication player), e-commerce sites(selling a cloth in every 3 second),largest mutual fund and Insurance company, Hindustan times newspaper, financing, wealth management and many more, this group is present everywhere.

The company believes in innovation and has also introduced the concepts of making white cement more greener, Enabling lighter and stronger vehicles, there presence is everywhere.
From structure solid framework by its class executioner brand "Ultra Tech Cement" to building individuals' life around them, ABG has completed a marvelous activity as an organization. From the durable aluminum window of Eternia to the glass facia of "The Collective", the organization has been on a voyage with its purchaser. The company provides employment to nearly 130000 people with its nearly 60 percent of revenue coming from foreign businesses.
The company is very active when it comes to CSR initiatives. One of the initiatives that I liked the most is that the family conducts 5000 free medical camps in rural India. They run nearly 56 schools and provide free education to nearly 20000 people every year.
To end it all from a rustic house in a small town to the Birla Family that we know today, the family has certainly created a massive empire and has certainly shaped the future of many people.
“You just keep a positive attitude no matter what comes in your way - challenges, roadblocks - don't let it faze you, and you can overcome anything”
Having been brought up in a middle-class environment, with losing my father at the age of 6, I began to see myself as a more responsible person from a very nascent age. A person having big dreams in small eyes and having a younger brother who always looked up to me as an inspiration, made me more responsible and a good decision maker. As an extension, positions of responsibility always attracted me. Be it at school or in college, these leadership positions called to me. The thrill of leading a team towards a goal, working under tight deadlines and making things work with scarce resources, helped me in improving my productivity by leaps and bounds and helped me in becoming a better manager of people. My ability to deal with people has proved to be a very useful weapon in my assortment.
I have been unfortunately fortunate enough to be exposed to a number of different experiences during my childhood. These experiences have all come together to shape me as a responsible individual and to broaden my perspectives on different things. These along with the need of taking important decisions for my family and for my career, have helped me in becoming more open minded. The curiosity within me to know about new things and developments has helped me a lot in shaping me as a person. All of this always keeps me on my toes and ensures that I am always learning, wherever I go and whosoever I meet.
There have been lot of challenges in my life but the biggest challenge that I faced till date was last year when I was in a biggest dilemma as my mother was diagnosed with cancer and there was only 2 days left for my MBA interview. With no other support and a decision to choose between my career and family was one of the biggest challenge that I came across.
For me, coming out of these challenges has been the biggest source of motivation.
