The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B), recently completed a summer internship placements report for its largest-ever Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) and Post Graduate Programme in Business Analytics (PGP-BA) batch, comprising 602 eligible students. The placement process, held from November 6 to 11, witnessed 484 students securing placements during the dedicated week. Additionally, 115 students found opportunities through a subsequent rolling placement process, including a targeted drive-by Atypical Advantage to place 12 students with disabilities.
Industry Breakdown
The placements showcased a diverse array of industries, with consulting firms leading the way with 158 offers. Accenture Strategy stood out by making a record 45 offers. However, the ratio of students interning in consulting saw a marginal decline as finance, banking, and investment firms presented more opportunities, making a total of 130 offers.
