PART A: Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life?
My name is Rishi Saurabh and I am from Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand. I am currently a MBA student at IIM Bodhgaya. Aditya Birla Group is an Indian multinational Conglomerate. It is active in 14 industry sectors and has businesses ranging from Banking, Branded Apparel, Cement, Financial services, Trading to Textiles, Mining, Chemicals, Telecom, Research & Development and many more. Confining only to a product/service of Aditya Birla Group that has made my life big is wrong. In every aspect of my life from education to home, from highways to disappearing distances between my friends and families, from packaging my food to the apparel I choose everywhere Aditya Birla Group has played a major part. My school renovation and my new home in Chira Chas, Bokaro Steel City was built using Ultra Tech Cement. On every Birthdays my parents used to gift me branded clothes of VAN HEUSEN, Allen Solly and LOUIS PHILIPPE. They used to save the money for buying me all this brands and I used to love that very much. There is always a feeling attached to the gifts which the parents gift. While travelling away from my home my mother always pack me home-made food using aluminium foil. Though I don’t know that time that the company which is protecting my food made by my mother so to ensure that her son would eat healthy food was none other than made by the Aditya Birla Group (FreshWrapp). During my final year of Undergraduation, I started preparing for CAT (Common Admission Test) Examination to get into the prestigious B-Schools of our country i.e IIMs. I purchased an online course and started preparing through online course only. I used to give test series, watch Video lectures, solve questions and was finally able to make it into one of the prestigious B-Schools of the country IIM Bodhgaya. All this would not be happened if would not have a good internet Connection. This was possible due to the high speed Idea 4G network in my college (BIT Sindri, Dhanbad). Inspite of all that the high speed internet also enabled me to have flawless video conversations with my friends and families during my CAT exam preparation. They keep me motivated all the time. Aditya Birla Group has played a major part in my small success journey. It has added value in every aspect of my life.
PART B: How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far?
During my Final year of Undergraduation, while I was preparing for CAT (Common Admission Test) and my B.Tech final examination my mother got diagnosed with Schizophrenia and our whole family was heart broken. We all were to support my mother mentally and socially. I was in my college and used to video call my mother and talk to her for 2-3 hours daily to make her feel good. I was facing the biggest challenge that time, I somehow need to balance my Preparation and my spending time with my mother on call and visiting her frequently. I used to visit my home on weekends and spend time with mother till she sleeps and after that I used to study around 2-3 hours late at night. That time I learned Time Management and my father, relatives, and friends always motivated me in every phase of that time. During weekdays I used to attend my classes, then talk to my mother and then I used to 2-3 hours of study daily. The consistent routine and the motivation from my father and my elder cousin brother and the conscious motivation present in my head that my mother always wanted to see me in an IIM helped to achieve my dream B-school IIM Bodhgaya. Though my mother is still under treatment but she has improved a lot and now living as near as to as a normal person. Her belief and the constant motivation from my father, brother, and relatives helped to tackle all these challenges.
