Sector-wise, the highest salary came from the Consulting sector, followed by Analytics, Ecommerce, and IT. Based on median salaries, the best-paying sectors were Analytics, FMCG, Engineering/Tech, and Ecommerce.
Domain-wise, the median salary was highest for Product Management roles (INR 23.5 lakhs), followed by HR (INR 20 lakhs), Operations (INR 18 lakhs), and Data Analytics (INR 18 lakhs).
Maximum Offers Come From the BFSI Sector
In 2023, 38% of the offers accepted were in the BFSI sector, which was more than the next two most-sought after sectors (Consulting, IT) combined. Ecommerce and Manufacturing completed the list of the top-five most desirable sectors for IIM Kashipur's 2023 batch.
Product Management, Sales and Marketing Most Sought-After Profiles at IIM Kashipur
Product Management and Sales and Marketing roles were big in 2023, 24% and 22% of the batch accepting offers for these profiles, respectively. Operations and Consulting were at level-pegging. Notably, General Management, which accounted for nearly 20% of all accepted offers last year, fell to nearly 11% in 2023. Preference for Finance also halved compared to last year, in terms of percentage points.
