A campus is often considered majestic when the buildings are glorious, the facilities exhaustive and the location prime. My definition of a campus, however, tends to be different. The true beauty of it all is not in the red brick buildings laid out in perfection, or the meticulously laid out facilities; they are only material symbols of who we are. This does not define us! Yes, we do have 13 Bloomberg terminals and yes, we undeniably possess an enormous digital library that is nothing short of world class and without a doubt, we live in one of the best hostels, however, we are not unique in this way!
We are unique because IIM Kashipur is a collection of an infinite amount of tiny stories. These tiny layers create our world. A world with people, who each have their own stories to tell and a world that loves more than any other to hear these stories wholeheartedly. Be it the faculty or the 500 odd students, we are a community that takes each step forward together. The students see each other as more than just another odd face in a slice of life; we are brothers and sisters that push each other beyond our perceived limits. The professors not only put us through enormous academic rigor, but they also urge us to engage in every character building activity the campus has to offer.
For us, the marks, the degrees, they are not what life is truly about. How we live our lives every day is life. The people we meet, the moments we cherish; That’s what we live for. That’s what will make a difference. At IIM Kashipur, we pour our soul into everything we do, we perfect it. That is our culture, that is what is ingrained in our souls from the very moment we join. While the world sleeps, we stay awake. We push each other to levels we could never have imagined possible individually. We do what needs to be done. No shortcuts, no excuses.
Pictures, videos, stories they will never hold a candle to the actual experience; to being here, these moments in time will define who I am for the rest of my life. The thought frightens me as much as it captivates me.
Right now, I am on a journey to a distant shore and IIM Kashipur, for everything it has to offer, is the wind for my sails, the song that guides my journey.
Which ABG company would one want to work for and why?
My dream is to be able to work for Idea Cellular Limited. The reason is my passion for marketing. Idea cellular had one of the most intriguing marketing campaigns when it launched. I loved every new campaign that came out and the ads really resonated with me.
Right now, the cellular market is more competitive than ever and I want to be part of the company and do my best in making Idea the undeniable choice in the market. This is my reason for wanting to join Idea cellular.
