The uniqueness of my campus is the diversity in the campus. In due course of few days, the most awestruck thing I found is standard deviation of diversity this place has.
The first pitch diversity which I found was on the first day when I came to know my room-mate is a Doctor. IIM Raipur batch consist of a trader, who left his hefty package to study here to CA aspirants, from Economics freaks to Photographers, from Quizzers to Guitarists, sports enthusiasts to karate champs. In the era when gender diversity is being considered as one of the most important parameter of an organization, IIM Raipur emphasise on this point by one fourth of the batch being female. Most of the states has its presence in batch, even some of the remote places representing their culture and places proudly makes this place commendable. It amazes how each state culture emerges at various festivals.
When such diverse background people resides in one campus with some limitation of resources, it creates a cosmopolitan culture in itself with bonding with each other and college. The amalgamation of various culture gives sense of uniqueness of our own culture and wider perspective of other cultures. Then I realised that this is not only about this year, this divers culture is the pedagogy here, lives from past 9 years, which makes this campus the most unique. Due to this diverse culture with peak academics rigor, IIM Raipur is creating socially responsible managers.
Which ABG Company would you like to work for and why?
I would like to work for Idea Cellular in Aditya Birla Group. The reason behind choosing Idea Cellular is because I have done one and a half year internship in a telecom company. During internship, I had studied various processes happening in a telecom from operational point of view as well as technical point of view. Apart from that, I had worked in TATA Motors’ operations function, which gave me experience in team handling skills in organization.
In the fast changing telecom sector scenario, I would like to work in adaptable environment. Therefore, I believe I will be best fit in Idea Cellular – Aditya Birla Group.
