Both ‘IIM’ and ‘Visakhapatnam’ were equally important factors that led me to choose this institute over others. Coming to the first, I was as sure about wanting to study at an IIM as I was about perusing as MBA. Studying in an IIM is not only a privilege but also provides one with a plethora of opportunities in terms of experienced professors, rigorous curriculum and a meticulously chosen peer group. I am sure that these will definitely lead to great value addition in a short span of two years.
Some might say that the brand of an institute does not matter in the long run . However, I believe that the brand IIM does give an edge in the initial phases by opening various doors; the journey of course rests on the individual.
Coming to the question of this particular IIM, I feel that being located in the port city of Visakhapatnam that is well connected to other metro cities, offers ample opportunities. Also, being mentored by IIM- Bangalore made me more confident and allayed my concerns about joining a newly established institute. Compared to a few other institutes, IIM Visakhapatnam has a relatively lower batch strength which is always an advantage. Lastly, I am looking forward to the international immersion program and appreciate IIM-V for giving it a level of importance that few other institutes do.
Every candidate has different expectations from their MBA degree. I was looking for value addition and an accelerated start to my corporate career and I feel that IIM Visakhapatnam will be a good fit for me. These are just few of the qualities which in my opinion will help IIM-V grow exponentially over time and it gives me great honour to be a part of it.

The ABG company I would like to work for is Aditya Birla Capital. I have always been inclined towards finance and ABC being one of the top 5 financial conglomerates will be a dream start. It is a trusted entity as showcased by a diversified customer base. I truly admire the values of the company. In addition, ABC is lead by talented and experienced professionals. It will a great learning opportunity for me to employ my learnings as ABC offers such diversified financial services in various sectors.
