As we see the current situation where water scarcity is the biggest problem, over dependence on rainwater has been the main factor for low productivity, and the scenario was no different 15 years ago. I come from a village, named SINDEWAHI of Chandrapur. During our school days my father used to drop us to the school,6 km away, every single day on his motor bike.
On the outskirts of the village we have a small river, which used to overflow during monsoon and almost dried up during summer. I vividly remember, it was back in summer of 2005, on my way to school, I saw people gathering near the passage of the river. I was intrigued, later I came to know that the construction of dam has been given a green flag on that river.
The supervision of the work was given to the ‘sarpanch’ of our village, his cheerful demeanor always attracted kids around him. After the river was dug deep, I along with my brother went to his house asking to take us to the site, since we were not allowed there alone. I visited the store house, recently constructed, and found a room full of cement, Birla Gold Cement, a product of Aditya Birla group.
After a year of work, the dam finally got complete, moreover we also got concrete canals operational to make water reachable to every part of the village. Over the next monsoon, I saw dam holding huge quantity of water, which by an effective use of canals, reached the field, this also reduced our over dependence on ground water. Having a dam for our village was a blessing and certainly Aditya Birla Group was an integral part of it. Certainly, Aditya Birla Group has an imprint in almost every aspect our life.

Since childhood, I had the fear of stage, but this became a glossophobia during my school gathering in class 6th.
My turn came and I was asked to speak extempore on a very trivial topic, ‘India’. By looking at the crowd I was dumbstruck, I couldn’t speak even a single line. I moved out of the stage and literally cried. Since then I never found the courage to go up the stage and speak.
It was in 12th class I realized what dent I was giving to my personality, I took upon the task to get over my stage fear, but I underestimated it. I sat and analyzed what are my strength and how can it be used to help me overcome my biggest weakness. I always loved writing poetry, I thought of using the same to my benefit, I enrolled in the poetry club during my Bachelor of Engineering. Initially, I started performing during gathering and in open mics in front of a small crowd. Later I performed in our college fest, in front of a huge audience, this helped me overcome the fear of stage.
