Well, challenges are a part of everyone’s life be it commoner like me or someone special like Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla and it’s been said that the way you approach a challenge is what defines you. I have a little different perspective on this you don’t have to have an approach for every challenge you face the only thing that you got to do is say “YES” to every challenge and then figure out how to go about it.
When it comes to life I also faced some challenges at different stages in my life and the majority of them were the same for people of my age group BUT one case stands apart when my dad was diagnosed with coronary artery diseased and it happened at the time when probably the biggest exam of my life was just at a month’s notice.
At that time, I realized that you can compensate for everything in your life apart from your family and that emotional intelligence and stability is off far more importance in a men’s life than anything else. I got through that period and by God's grace everything went well and I still remember the doctor’s word when he said: “Your dad has done many good deeds don’t worry”. It made me realized that good deeds do come back to help you no matter how small and you don’t have to be someone special to do them.
After all this, in the remaining 2 weeks, I got a fresh air of confidence in my ability and got more focused on the broader scheme of things. It helped me not only in that phase of my life but gave me a broader outlook towards life. I realized that we all are capable of doing good things and it’s those things that define you. After all this, I have made it to one of the best b-schools of our country but when it comes to the question of making it big in life I still think it somewhere down the road for me because making it to b school surely is a big achievement but it cannot be the biggest achievement of my life. In the end, is a statement that has inspired me through the last decade or so.

One thing that I have learned from my father whenever we used to go out is that a person should always be dressed in an optimal manner and it was, he who introduced me to the brand, Van Heusen. He is a loyal customer 90% of his wardrobe is made up of stuff from Van Heusen and from there on begins my allegiance to the brand too. My first formals, Suit everything comes from there and as time gone by, I have realized that now it’s not only about luxury to me it has been ingrained into what I perceived of myself.
