Talking about my institute, I would like to share one of my memorable classroom experience.

It was the lecture on the course ‘Human Resource Management’, the topic that we learned is a very crucial one because it deals with assigning a senior level post to an individual, i.e. ‘Succession Planning’.

For the lecture, students read the Harvard Business case study, ‘Indispensable by John Beeson’ in which basically four potential CEOs could replace the existing CEO. Students were formed in four groups based on their choice of the potential CEO, who they believe is the most deserving one. All the four groups wrote a description of the CEOs and started having a debate on who should be the next CEO of the company.

That day, while having a debate I came to know a lot of students’ thinking patterns, decision-making process, and how their behavioural traits affect their conviction. In a way, it tells us about how high-level managers think, make a decision, thinks about succession planning, and how the Human Resource Department deals with it.

This was my first lecture where I learned much more than what was supposedly taught in the class and that’s what makes it one of the most memorable moment for me.

Which ABG company would I like to work for and why ?

Birla Sun Life Asset Management
Aditya Birla Group (ABG) being one of the most prominent business houses in India, excites me to work with highly experienced managers who are guided under the leadership of Dr. Santrupt Misra. As a finance student, who is interested in making informed decisions in the investment field, Aditya Birla Capital (ABC) is the place where I aspire to work. ABC’s subsidiary company, Birla Sun Life Asset Management would be my first preference to work, as the business work of the company and the company’s vision are in alignment to my values and preferences.
